DC Universe Infinite is available in Brazil. DC announced the expansion on December 2, 2024, with a scheduled launch date of December 16. The subscription offers a large digital-comics catalog billed in Brazilian reais, but the launch announcement described its comics as English-language titles—not Portuguese translations.
When did DC Universe Infinite launch in Brazil?
DC announced on December 2, 2024 that the service was scheduled to launch in Brazil on December 16, alongside Mexico. That was the planned launch date; Brazil is now included in DC’s official list of supported countries. The service is a digital-comics subscription, not the former DC Universe video-streaming service. (DC’s launch announcement)

How much does it cost in Brazil?
DC’s Brazilian help center lists the following subscription prices in reais. Taxes may apply where applicable; check the signup flow for the terms shown to you.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual |
|---|---|---|
| Standard | R$12.99 | R$119.90 |
| Ultra | R$20.99 | R$189.90 |
The annual-plan comparison below is arithmetic based on those listed prices, not a separate advertised discount. It assumes 12 monthly payments at the same rate and a full year of subscription: Standard annual costs R$35.98 less than 12 monthly payments (about 23.1%); Ultra annual costs R$61.98 less (about 24.6%). If you are sampling the catalog or only want access for a particular story arc, monthly billing avoids committing for a year. See DC’s Brazilian pricing page for its listed rates.

What is the difference between Standard and Ultra?
The main practical distinction is how long subscribers wait for new print comics to reach the service, alongside Ultra’s broader catalog access. DC’s current signup page advertises the following benefits and catalog sizes; counts are approximate and can change.
| Feature | Standard | Ultra |
|---|---|---|
| Advertised catalog | More than 27,000 comics and graphic novels | More than 35,000 comics and graphic novels |
| New print comics | Six months after print release | 30 days after print release |
| Vertigo, Black Label and collected editions | More limited access | Expanded access |
| Brazilian monthly price | R$12.99 | R$20.99 |
| Brazilian annual price | R$119.90 | R$189.90 |
These are DC’s advertised catalog figures, not a count of unique storylines or a promise that every DC book is included. DC’s page uses somewhat different counts in different places, so search for a specific title before subscribing. Ultra is the more relevant option if following newer DC comics on a shorter delay matters to you; Standard costs less if you are mainly reading older material. The plan descriptions are on DC’s signup page.

Are the comics available in Portuguese?
Brazilian availability and reais billing do not mean the comics have been translated. DC’s launch announcement described the service as offering English-language titles. Readers should therefore expect a primarily English-language comics catalog unless they verify the language of a particular title. If you need Portuguese editions, local print releases are a better place to look.
What can you read on the service?
DC Universe Infinite brings together back-catalog comics and graphic novels, digital-first comics, and DC GO! vertical-scroll webcomics. DC’s launch announcement highlighted titles such as Batman: Hush, digital-first series including Harley Quinn: The Animated Series: The Eat. Bang! Kill. Tour and Suicide Squad: King Shark, and material connected to The Batman, The Suicide Squad and Peacemaker. Those were launch-period examples, not a guarantee that each title remains available now.

The subscription is access to a changing catalog, not a purchase of permanent digital files. Offline reading is advertised on iOS and Android, but downloaded comics remain tied to the service and its app ecosystem; offline access should not be treated as DRM-free ownership.
Which devices work, and is there a free trial?
DC lists iPhone, iPad, Android phones and tablets, web, and mobile web as supported access options. The current signup page advertises a seven-day free trial. Trial eligibility and billing terms can vary, so review the terms presented during signup before starting. DC specifically describes offline reading for iOS and Android; its listed web access does not establish offline desktop downloads.

Is it worth subscribing from Brazil?
- Standard is a sensible fit if you want a lower-cost way to explore older Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman or Justice League comics and can wait six months for new print releases to arrive.
- Ultra makes more sense if you read regularly, value expanded Vertigo, Black Label and collected-edition access, or want the shorter 30-day release window.
- Neither plan is ideal if you require Portuguese translations, permanent digital ownership, same-day access to U.S. print releases, or only want one or two particular books. Check that specific titles are in the catalog before paying.
For readers who prioritize Portuguese-language editions or physical ownership, Brazilian print editions and local comic retailers are the more direct alternative. The service can reduce the friction of accessing a large DC back catalog without importing individual English-language books, but it does not guarantee every publication or local edition.
What happened to the launch discount?
DC’s original announcement offered a 15% introductory Ultra discount for signups during the first 30 days in each new country, with discounted renewal while a paid subscription was maintained. DC said standard country pricing would begin January 20, 2025. This was a launch-period offer, not a current promotion.
