Taylor Swift’s ‘The Life of a Showgirl’: Full Credits and Producers

Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback are the credited producers of The Life of a Showgirl. The standard album contains 12 tracks and ends with “The Life of a Showgirl,” featuring Sabrina Carpenter. The production team remains consistent across the record, while the arrangements expand from programmed pop instrumentation to strings, brass, woodwinds and folk instruments.

Who produced The Life of a Showgirl?

The album’s credited producers are Taylor Swift, Max Martin and Shellback. The same trio is credited as the core songwriting and production team across the standard tracklist. “Father Figure” additionally credits George Michael as a songwriter.

The Associated Press reported an announced release date of October 3, 2025, and identified Swift, Martin and Shellback as the producers. Taylor Swift’s official “Opalite” credits specify that the track was produced by Max Martin, Shellback and Swift at MXM Studios and Shellback Studios in Stockholm for MXM Productions and Taylor Swift Productions.

Swift performs lead vocals throughout the standard album. Sabrina Carpenter appears as the featured vocalist on the title track.

Which physical editions are documented?

The announced physical formats included a Portofino orange glitter limited-edition vinyl and a special cassette edition. Edition names, stock and seller listings can change by territory, so check the current listing carefully before buying. Confirm that the product is the standard 12-track album and that the seller identifies the exact color or cassette variant you want.

What the credits show

  • The album has a stable three-person production identity: Swift, Martin and Shellback.
  • Martin and Shellback also supply much of the keyboard, programming and rhythm-section work.
  • Shellback’s credited instruments vary widely, including bass, drums, guitar, omnichord, percussion, banjo and tambourine.
  • Tracks such as “Wood,” “Cancelled!” and the title track use large string, brass and woodwind ensembles, while other songs rely on a smaller pop-band setup.
  • “Opalite” is the track with first-party Taylor Swift credits confirming the production and technical details directly.
