To stop a Twitch channel subscription from charging again, open Twitch Subscriptions, select the settings cog beside the channel, choose Don’t Renew Subscription (or the equivalent cancellation label), and confirm. Your current paid period normally remains active until its expiration date. If Apple or Google Play billed the subscription, cancel it through that billing service instead.
First, identify who billed the subscription
The device you are using is not always the billing source. An iPhone can display a subscription purchased on Twitch’s website, while an Android phone can show a web-billed subscription that is not managed by Google Play. Check your receipt, bank statement, or account history, then use the matching route below.
- Twitch website: Manage it at twitch.tv/subscriptions.
- Twitch mobile app: Open your profile and the Subscriptions area; the available control depends on where the purchase was billed.
- Google Play: Cancel in Google Play’s subscription list.
- Apple App Store: Cancel from Apple Account subscriptions in Settings.
- Prime Gaming: This is a redeemed Prime benefit, not an ordinary recurring paid channel subscription.
- Gifted subscription: A recipient normally has no recurring charge to cancel.
- Turbo: Manage it under Twitch’s Other Subscriptions, not as a channel-sub card.
Turn off auto-renew on Twitch’s website
- Sign in to the Twitch account that owns the subscription.
- Go directly to https://www.twitch.tv/subscriptions.
- Find the channel under your active subscriptions.
- Select the settings cog on that subscription card.
- Choose Don’t Renew Subscription (Twitch may use Cancel Subscription or a localized equivalent).
- Select a reason if Twitch asks for one, then complete the confirmation.
- Verify the displayed expiration or benefits-end date. A confirmation message without a date is not enough to assume the change succeeded.
Twitch describes this control as ending the subscription at the end of the currently billed period and preventing the next payment cycle. See the Twitch Purchase Support FAQ.
Cancel from the Twitch mobile app
- Open the Twitch app and tap your profile image.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select the channel subscription.
- Use the cancellation or renewal control on its details screen.
- Confirm and note the date on which subscriber benefits end.
Labels and placement can vary by language, account, and app version. Twitch says subscriptions bought elsewhere may appear under Other Subscriptions; those generally must be managed on the original billing platform or on the web subscriptions page. Refer to Twitch’s mobile subscription instructions.

Cancel a subscription billed through Google Play
- Open the Google Play Store and make sure the correct Google Account is selected.
- Tap your profile picture.
- Choose Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions.
- Select Twitch.
- Tap Cancel subscription and follow the prompts.
Google says uninstalling Twitch does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Access normally continues for the time already paid. Use Google’s current instructions at support.google.com/googleplay/answer/7018481.
If Twitch is missing from Google Play
- Check every Google Account signed in on the device; the purchase may belong to another account.
- Open Google Play’s subscription list rather than relying on the Twitch app.
- Check Google Payments and your receipt.
- If the receipt is from Twitch’s website or another processor, cancel through Twitch instead.
Cancel a subscription billed through Apple
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your name at the top.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Twitch.
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm.
Apple’s instructions are at support.apple.com/en-us/122021. If there is no cancellation button, or Apple shows an expiration message, Apple indicates that the subscription may already be canceled.

If Twitch is not listed by Apple
- Confirm the Apple Account used for the purchase.
- Search Apple email receipts and purchase history.
- Check whether the subscription was bought on Twitch’s website.
- For an App Store transaction, Apple normally handles refund requests; Twitch handles technical problems with subscription benefits.
What turning off renewal changes
- No next recurring charge: After successful confirmation, the next renewal should not be processed. A payment already pending may not be reversible.
- Current access continues: The subscription generally stays active through the period you already paid for.
- Expiration ends benefits: The subscriber badge and other applicable subscriber benefits end when that paid period expires.
- No account or follow-list deletion: This action does not delete your Twitch account or unfollow the channel.
- Resubscription remains possible: You can subscribe again after expiration.
“Don’t renew” is therefore different from an immediate cancellation or refund. Twitch’s normal control prevents the next cycle; it does not automatically refund the current period.
Will canceling break your Twitch sub streak?
Twitch says a viewer who resubscribes within 7 days after expiration should avoid a break in the subscription streak or anniversary. That grace period concerns the recorded streak or tenure; it does not promise uninterrupted subscriber benefits during the days after the paid period ends. Prime, gifted, Turbo, and multi-month subscriptions

Prime Gaming
A Prime channel sub is a time-limited benefit redeemed for a channel, not the same as a recurring paid sub. Once used, it generally cannot be canceled like a paid renewal; you can use the benefit again when Twitch and Prime make you eligible. Regional availability and membership rules differ. Twitch’s guidance is available in its subscription cancellation documentation and subscription guide.
Gifted subscriptions
If someone gifted you a sub, you normally have no recurring payment. The purchaser’s gift transaction is separate from your account’s subscription renewal. Twitch may show a separate control for disabling gifted-sub benefits, which is not the same as canceling a paid channel subscription.

Turbo
Turbo is managed separately under Other Subscriptions; do not assume that canceling a channel-sub card cancels Turbo.
Multi-month plans
Twitch offers recurring plans such as three or six months, depending on the plan and account. Turning off renewal stops the next three- or six-month charge while leaving the already purchased period active. Changing tiers is not cancellation, and Twitch says subscription upgrades may not be prorated.

If you are still charged after canceling
- Check timing: The renewal may have processed before you confirmed cancellation.
- Check the account: Verify the Twitch username and the Apple or Google Account used to pay.
- Check the billing source: A web subscription will not be canceled from Apple or Google, and vice versa.
- Check the subscription type: The charge could be Turbo, a gift purchase, or a multi-month renewal rather than the channel sub you canceled.
- Check the confirmation: Return to the relevant subscription list and look for the expiration date or canceled status.
An unfamiliar statement showing Xsolla can still be a Twitch-related payment, because Twitch identifies Xsolla as one of its processors. When contacting Twitch Support about a continuing charge, provide your Twitch username, the affected channel subscription, and the invoice or transaction ID. Refund eligibility is separate from cancellation: Twitch’s FAQ routes Apple App Store refund requests to Apple, while Twitch handles Android/Google Play Twitch purchase refund requests according to its support policy. Do not assume a refund or proration will occur.
There is no bulk-cancel button
Twitch’s cancellation documentation does not provide a bulk-cancel option. Review and cancel each subscription separately.
