To activate Pandora, install or open the official Pandora app on your supported Samsung Smart TV, choose Log In, keep the displayed code on screen, and enter it at Pandora’s official Samsung activation page or in the Pandora mobile app under Settings → Device Activation. Select Continue on the TV when prompted. A free Pandora account is enough for basic, ad-supported listening.
Before you begin
- An internet-connected Samsung Smart TV.
- Pandora available in the TV’s Samsung app store.
- A Pandora account, or the ability to create one.
- A phone, tablet, or computer with internet access for activation.
- Current TV software, especially if Pandora has been crashing or refusing to connect.
Samsung app availability varies by TV model, software platform, country, and region. Samsung explains that smart services and downloadable apps are not identical on every television or market: Samsung TV apps.
Install Pandora on a Samsung Smart TV
Menu names differ by Samsung generation and software version, but the usual route is:
- Press Home on the Samsung remote.
- Open Apps.
- Choose the search function and enter Pandora.
- Select the official Pandora app.
- Choose Install or Add to Home.
- Open Pandora after installation.
Installing the app does not connect your Pandora account; activation is a separate step.

Activate Pandora with the on-screen code
- Open Pandora on the TV and select Log In.
- Wait for the activation code to appear, and leave that screen open.
- On a phone or computer, open Pandora’s official Samsung activation page. Pandora’s device instructions also identify
pandora.com/samsungas the manufacturer-specific address. - Enter the code shown on the TV.
- Sign in to the Pandora account you want to use, if prompted.
- Return to the TV and select Continue.
Follow Pandora’s current Samsung instructions at Pandora on Samsung. Never enter your credentials on an unofficial activation site.
Activate from the Pandora mobile app
- Open Pandora on your phone and sign in to the intended account.
- Open Settings.
- Select Device Activation (the exact placement can vary between iOS and Android).
- Enter the code displayed on the Samsung TV.
- Return to the TV and select Continue.
How to confirm activation
- The activation screen disappears.
- Your stations, collection, profile, or account name appears.
- Selecting a station starts playback.
If a different collection appears, the browser or phone was probably signed in to another Pandora account. On the TV, open Pandora Settings → Sign Out, sign out of the wrong account on your phone or browser, and activate again with the intended account.

Do you need Pandora Plus or Premium?
No. Basic Pandora radio is free with advertising. Paid plans are optional, and their controls can vary on Samsung televisions because some features are limited to select Samsung devices.

If Pandora is missing from Samsung Apps
If Pandora does not appear in search, your TV model, region, software, network state, or Samsung smart-service setup may not support the app. Do not sideload an unofficial APK or use a third-party activation page.
- Confirm the TV is online and restart it.
- Check for a Samsung software update.
- Search Apps again after the update.
- Verify the TV model and country/region settings.
- If Pandora remains unavailable, use a supported external device or casting method.
Practical alternatives include Roku, Amazon Fire TV, an Android TV or Google TV streamer, or Apple AirPlay from a compatible Apple device. Support and feature behavior vary by device and region.

Fix invalid codes, playback failures, and crashes
Invalid or expired code
- Return to Pandora’s activation screen on the TV.
- Generate a fresh code if offered; do not reuse an old one.
- Keep the code screen open while entering it.
- Enter the new code promptly using the official browser page or mobile-app route.
- Confirm the phone or browser is signed in to the correct account, then choose Continue on the TV.

App opens but will not play
- Check whether another TV app can stream.
- Restart the Samsung TV.
- Restart the modem and router.
- Install any available TV firmware update.
- Delete Pandora and install it again.
- If possible, test the TV over Ethernet instead of Wi-Fi.
- Contact Samsung if the fault appears specific to the TV or its network connection.
Explicit music is blocked
Explicit-content filtering is enabled by default on Pandora in-home products such as Samsung TVs. Try Settings → Content Settings and follow the password prompt; wording can vary by app version, and Samsung parental controls may also restrict playback.

Switch Pandora accounts
- Open Pandora on the TV.
- Go to Settings → Sign Out.
- Sign out of any unintended Pandora account on your phone or browser.
- Sign in to the desired account.
- Start activation again with the new code.
