A regular Hulu streaming-library subscription is not a substitute for Hulu’s live-TV lineup. Availability depends on your ZIP code, regional rights, blackouts, device, and plan terms.
Which subscription includes SEC Network?
| Subscription | Live SEC Network? | What it provides |
|---|---|---|
| Hulu streaming library | No | On-demand Hulu programming, not the live channel lineup. |
| Hulu + Live TV | Yes, in supported areas | Live SEC Network, a channel guide, Hulu’s library and the services included in its current offer. |
| ESPN Select | No | The ESPN+ content tier; it is not the linear SEC Network. |
| ESPN Unlimited | Yes, through ESPN | ESPN says this tier includes SECN and SECN+ as well as other ESPN networks and services. |
Hulu lists SEC Network among the sports channels in Hulu + Live TV. ESPN’s current plan explanation distinguishes ESPN Select from ESPN Unlimited at plus.espn.com/bundle.
What Hulu + Live TV costs
Hulu displayed Hulu + Live TV at $89.99 per month, with a possible three-day trial for eligible subscribers, when the offer was observed on August 16–18, 2026. Hulu can change prices, promotions, included services and trial eligibility, so treat that figure as a current price signal rather than a permanent rate. The offer page is hulu.com/live-sports.
That is the price of the qualifying live-TV service—not the cheaper Hulu library plan. Check the local lineup by ZIP code before subscribing; Hulu says channels vary by area and programming can be subject to regional restrictions and blackouts.

How to watch SEC Network through Hulu
- Choose Hulu + Live TV. Start at hulu.com/live-tv, not a Hulu-only library subscription.
- Check your home ZIP code. Use Hulu’s channel-availability check on its SEC Network page.
- Open Hulu on a supported device. Hulu lists web browsers, Android and Apple mobile devices, Apple TV, Chromecast, Fire TV, Roku, Samsung and LG smart TVs, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox and selected other platforms.
- Open the Live TV guide. Search for “SEC Network” and select the live channel or scheduled program.
- Use ESPN when an event is delivered there. Hulu + Live TV is an eligible provider for ESPN access. ESPN says eligible customers must activate the benefit and connect it to a MyDisney login; instructions are at plus.espn.com/bundle.
- For SEC Network+ events, switch to ESPN. Sign in through the ESPN app or SECNetwork.com with qualifying ESPN or provider credentials.
Hulu app or ESPN app?
You can watch the linear SEC Network in Hulu’s live channel guide when it is available in your market. The ESPN app is a separate viewing route that can be unlocked through an eligible Hulu + Live TV account after activation. The two apps do not necessarily present every event in the same way.
Some SEC games air on ESPN, ESPN2, ABC, ESPNU, CBS, ESPN+, or SEC Network+ rather than SEC Network. A Hulu subscription therefore does not guarantee that every SEC event will appear on one channel.
SEC Network versus SEC Network+

SEC Network+
SEC Network+ is ESPN’s digital companion for additional live events. ESPN describes those events as available through the ESPN App and SECNetwork.com, not as a second conventional channel in Hulu’s guide. Details for the 2026 slate appear in ESPN’s announcement at espnpressroom.com.

Does ESPN+ include SEC Network?
ESPN+ alone is not the same as the live SEC Network. ESPN Select is the ESPN+ content tier. ESPN Unlimited is the broader tier that ESPN says includes the linear SECN feed and SECN+. Look for ESPN Unlimited or an eligible television-provider package if the live network is your requirement.

The channel is missing
- Your ZIP code may not receive SEC Network.
- You may have regular Hulu rather than Hulu + Live TV.
- The event may be on SEC Network+, another ESPN network, or a different rights holder.
- A regional restriction or blackout may apply.
- You may be signed into the wrong account or using a location Hulu cannot verify.
Hulu says Hulu + Live TV is offered in the 50 states and District of Columbia, but local programming still varies. It also warns that content is subject to regional availability, blackouts, device restrictions and changing terms.

ESPN sign-in fails
Activate the ESPN benefit from your eligible Hulu + Live TV account and link the required MyDisney login. Merely having a Hulu library account does not establish ESPN provider access.
You are traveling
Live-TV programming and location verification are location-dependent. Do not assume the same lineup, or uninterrupted access, outside your registered home area. Hulu also says a mobile hotspot cannot establish the required Hulu + Live TV home network.
You need several screens
Hulu lists two simultaneous streams as standard. An Unlimited Screens add-on can provide more viewing at home; mobile and out-of-home limits may differ.
Which option fits?
| Choose | Best for | Main trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Hulu + Live TV | SEC Network plus Hulu, Disney+, a traditional guide and DVR | Full live-TV pricing and ZIP-code restrictions. |
| ESPN Unlimited | Viewers focused mainly on ESPN networks and comfortable using the ESPN app | It is not Hulu’s broader live-TV and entertainment bundle; check the current standalone terms. |
| Another live-TV provider | Households already using a qualifying pay-TV service | Channel tier, price, local availability, DVR rules and blackouts vary by provider. |
ESPN lists Hulu + Live TV, Fubo TV, DIRECTV, Spectrum, Verizon FiOS, U-verse and Cox as provider pathways for ESPN activation. Confirm each provider’s current SEC Network tier before buying.
