As of August 18, 2026, U.S. streaming listings show The Walking Dead free with ads on Pluto TV. That does not confirm that all ten seasons are available on demand, or that a month-long offer has a guaranteed end date. Check Pluto TV’s season list before planning a full binge.
Is The Walking Dead free to watch on Pluto TV?
Current U.S. availability data lists the original series on Pluto TV as free with ads. Pluto TV’s Season 1 page has an on-demand viewing interface, but that alone does not establish that Seasons 1–10 are all currently available there. The listing is a useful lead, not proof of a complete ten-season package.

“Free” here means ad-supported rather than included with a paid subscription. The available information does not establish whether a Pluto TV account or payment method is required to play this particular title; check the current sign-in prompts on your device.
Does “all month” mean there is a confirmed promotion?
No specific month-long promotion, start date, or expiration date is confirmed by the available service information. The August 18, 2026 U.S. listing reflects availability at that point, not a promise that the series will remain free for the rest of the month. Streaming catalogs can change, so treat Pluto TV’s current listing as subject to change rather than a dated offer with a guaranteed end date.

AMC announced historical free Pluto TV availability in 2020, but that announcement does not prove the exact 2026 season lineup. See AMC’s announcement for that earlier arrangement.
What Seasons 1–10 include
The original series has 11 seasons and 177 episodes, according to Netflix’s July 30, 2026 announcement. Seasons 1–10 amount to 153 episodes, calculated from the season episode counts below; Season 11 is not included in that total.

For the on-demand catalog, verify that the page is for the original AMC series, not a spin-off or a themed channel. A listing for the show or its first season does not establish availability of every episode in the table.
How to check Pluto TV before starting a binge
- Open Pluto TV’s U.S. site or app and search for The Walking Dead.
- Confirm the result is the original series and open its episode page.
- Check the season selector for each season you want, especially a middle season and Season 10.
- Open an episode from Season 1, a middle season, and Season 10 to confirm they play without a paid subscription.
- Note whether the result is selectable on demand or only a live channel. If it is a live channel, episodes may run on a schedule rather than in the order you choose.
On-demand access is the practical choice for a chronological binge: you can select an episode rather than wait for it to air. With a live channel, you may encounter episodes out of order and may not have the same pause, rewind, or episode-selection controls. Those controls can depend on the device.

Other streaming options
| Service | Access model | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Pluto TV | Free with ads, according to current U.S. availability data | Check the season and episode listings directly; the complete Seasons 1–10 on-demand lineup is not confirmed. |
| Netflix | Paid subscription | A multi-year, co-exclusive agreement with AMC covers the original series and six spin-offs. Availability and rollout timing vary by territory; see Netflix’s announcement and check the catalog in your country. |
| AMC+ | Paid subscription | AMC+ support says past seasons of the original series are available through its 24/7 Walking Dead Channel, rather than as ordinary on-demand episodes. See AMC+ support. Its Walking Dead Universe page displays price signals, but confirm the applicable plan and billing terms at checkout. |
| Digital purchase or physical media | Purchase, not free streaming | Digital stores and Blu-ray/DVD collections may be alternatives if a season is unavailable to stream; prices were not established here. A library may also have physical copies. |
Where does this availability apply?
The free-with-ads listing cited here is for the United States. Pluto TV’s catalog, licensing, advertising, and app availability can differ by country. Netflix’s AMC agreement also describes territory-specific availability windows. Viewers outside the U.S. should check the local catalog rather than assume the same offer applies.
Availability may also differ by device or interface. A title page on Pluto TV does not by itself confirm that every season is playable in the web player, mobile app, smart-TV app, and connected-device apps.
What to do if Pluto TV does not have every season
If the season selector is incomplete, or the only result is a live channel, Pluto TV may not meet the needs of a viewer who wants to choose every episode in order. Check Netflix in your region for conventional on-demand access, bearing in mind that it requires a paid plan. AMC+ is another paid option, but its support page describes past seasons through a linear channel rather than standard on-demand playback. Buying digital episodes or a disc set, or borrowing discs from a library, are alternatives when streaming catalogs do not fit.
