TELUS advertises Netflix, Disney+ and Prime “for 60% less” on its Stream+ page. A separate TELUS disclosure describes $13 off Basic and $18 off Premium for three months on eligible new subscriptions. Prices can change without notice.
Does TELUS Stream+ really give you 60% off?
Only during the introductory period, and only when your account qualifies. TELUS’s standard comparison lists the individual services at $26.97 per month for the Basic comparison and $50.97 for Premium. Against those figures:
- Basic at $10 is about 62.9% below $26.97 for the first three months.
- Basic at its regular $23 is about 14.7% below $26.97.
- Premium at its regular $43 is about 15.6% below $50.97.
Those calculations use TELUS’s displayed prices and are approximate; provider plans and prices may change. The sustainable bundle saving is therefore roughly 15%, not 60%. The headline percentage should not be read as a lifetime discount.

What each tier includes
Stream+ Basic
Basic combines Netflix Standard with ads and Disney+ Standard with ads, plus an Amazon Prime membership. It also includes TELUS Films & Series and more than 50 free channels in the TELUS TV+ app. “Basic” does not mean ad-free Netflix or Disney+.
Stream+ Premium
Premium upgrades Netflix to Premium and Disney+ to Premium. Those services may provide higher video quality and more simultaneous streams, subject to each provider’s rules. Premium also includes Amazon Prime, TELUS Films & Series and the 50-plus free channels.

Who can get the promotion?
The offer is for Canadian residents who have an eligible TELUS-related account and are new Stream+ subscribers. TELUS identifies eligible customer types on its Stream+ FAQ, including TELUS, Koodo, Altima, Start and Mascon customers. Eligibility can depend on region, product and connection type.
- You generally cannot buy Stream+ as a completely independent service without a qualifying TELUS relationship.
- Existing Stream+ subscribers with the included Netflix, Disney+ and Prime bundle do not qualify as new subscribers.
- Only one Stream+ activation can be completed per My TELUS account.
- Promotions normally cannot be combined, so an employee, partner, Mobility or Internet discount may change the price shown.

- Sign in to your TELUS account and select Stream+.
- Choose Basic or Premium and verify the promotional price, regular price and three-month duration.
- Complete the purchase.
- Open the activation emails TELUS sends for Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon, then select Activate now.
- Sign in to existing provider accounts where supported, or create accounts as directed.
- Confirm in each provider account that TELUS is now the billing party.
- Review your first TELUS bill and provider account pages for duplicate charges.

What happens to existing Netflix, Disney+ or Amazon billing?
Existing subscriptions require careful billing management. TELUS advises customers to cancel provider-billed subscriptions and redeem the TELUS activation to avoid paying twice. Do not cancel until you have confirmed the TELUS activation path and checked whether your current subscription has a commitment, a different billing date or an annual term.
- Keep your login credentials and check that profiles, watch history and parental controls remain available.
- Subscriptions billed through another intermediary may require separate cancellation with that intermediary.
- Disney+ annual subscriptions may pause rather than transfer; TELUS says unused months can resume if Stream+ is later cancelled.
Netflix, Disney and Amazon continue to apply their own account terms and privacy policies even when TELUS collects the payment.

Stream+ auto-renews unless you cancel or another qualifying discount applies. Without a continuing promotion, the listed rates are $23 per month for Basic and $43 for Premium, plus applicable tax.
- Record the exact promotional end date shown at checkout.
- Save the regular rate displayed in your order confirmation.
- Set a reminder before the fourth bill.
- Check whether an account-specific or employee discount is still active.
Illustrative first-year totals
Using the displayed prices and assuming no tax or price change, Basic would cost $30 for three promotional months plus $207 for nine months at $23, or about $237 for the first year. At $23 all year, it would be $276, so the assumed introductory saving is about $39.

Premium would cost $75 for three months at $25 plus $387 for nine months at $43, or about $462. At $43 all year, it would be $516, making the assumed first-year saving about $54. These are estimates, not guaranteed bills.
Extras and viewing limits
Stream+ includes TELUS Films & Series and the free-channel lineup in TELUS TV+. TELUS also advertises CBC Gem Monthly at no additional cost for eligible Stream+ customers; its stated value and availability can change. A separate TELUS deals page lists a possible $1.50-per-month Apple TV discount, but that is an eligibility-based offer, not a universal inclusion. Eligible customers in applicable regions may also see an ICI TOU.TV EXTRA offer.
The TELUS TV+ mobile app is available in Canada only and cannot be accessed through a VPN. Streaming data may count toward your Internet provider’s monthly allowance. Netflix, Disney+ and Prime remain available through their own apps and supported devices.
When is Stream+ a good deal?
Likely worthwhile
- You already pay for all three included services.
- The checkout shows the introductory rate and you will use the included TELUS content or channels.
- You prefer one TELUS bill and accept Basic’s advertising tiers.
Probably not worthwhile
- You want only Netflix or only Disney+.
- You already have a cheaper annual, promotional or bundled provider subscription.
- You require ad-free Netflix and Disney+ but do not want Premium.
- You may forget the post-promotion price or dislike telecom-managed billing.
- You would sign up for TELUS Internet or Mobility solely to obtain a temporary streaming saving; the telecom service can cost far more than the discount.
Compare the post-promotion monthly rate with the direct services you would actually use. TELUS’s comparison figures are dated price signals, not a guarantee that every independently purchased plan has identical features.
Bottom line: judge the checkout price, not the headline
TELUS Stream+ can be a strong short-term deal for an eligible Canadian customer who wants Netflix, Disney+ and Amazon Prime together. The “60% off” language is defensible for the $10 Basic introductory price against TELUS’s displayed comparison, but the ongoing saving at $23 Basic or $43 Premium is closer to 15%. Confirm eligibility, tier, taxes, activation instructions and the regular rate in My TELUS, then avoid duplicate provider billing and set a reminder before auto-renewal.
