Solo Leveling’s next major screen release is now confirmed: Aniplex and Crunchyroll announced Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a theatrical anime film that continues Sung Jinwoo’s story after Season 2. The July 3, 2026 announcement did not include a cinema release date or release window. Season 3 is also in active development, but it has no confirmed premiere date.
What is the big Solo Leveling release before Season 3?
The confirmed project is Solo Leveling: Beyond the System, a theatrical anime feature rather than a regular television season. Aniplex and Crunchyroll revealed the film at the Crunchyroll Showcase during Anime Expo 2026, showing a teaser key visual and concept video. The announcement describes it as a continuation of the anime from the point where Season 2 ended.
You can read the announcement in Crunchyroll’s July 3, 2026 report.
Is Beyond the System Season 3?
No. Beyond the System is a movie, with a theatrical release format, not an episodic Season 3 order. It occupies the same broad story position fans are waiting for—after the Season 2 finale—but the film’s announcement is a separate production confirmation.

When will Solo Leveling Season 3 release?
There is no confirmed Season 3 premiere date in the available official information. In a June 1, 2026 report, GamesRadar+ quoted Crunchyroll president Rahul Purini saying: “Nothing to announce, but we are just as eager as the fans for the next show! We know the creators are actively working on it, so hopefully we can announce something soon.” Read the full report at GamesRadar+.
That statement confirms active work, not a launch schedule. No year—including 2027 or 2028—should be treated as official until Aniplex, Crunchyroll or the production team publishes a date or window.
