Yes, according to Boyle’s own public accounts up to 2019. In a first-person interview published by The Guardian on 6 February 2015, she wrote that she still lived in the same house where she grew up in Blackburn, West Lothian. She described it as the home she had shared with and cared for her mother until her mother died in 2007.

Boyle gave a similar account in a Sunday Post interview published 1 December 2019. She called it her mum’s ex-council house and said she would not move because it was part of her history. These interviews establish what she said at those times; they are not proof of her residence today.
What do the “nine others” and “tiny house” claims get wrong?
She was one of nine children
Boyle said she was the youngest of nine children: five sisters and four brothers. That means she had eight siblings. It does not establish that nine other people lived in the house with her, or that all nine children lived there together at any one time. A 2013 Guardian profile likewise describes her as one of nine children, not as sharing the house with nine other residents.

“Tiny” is not a documented measurement
The accounts describe the Blackburn property as a council or ex-council home, but they give no floor area or room count. Calling it “tiny” is therefore a subjective headline description, not a size claim established by these sources.
What happened to the larger house she bought?
Boyle said she bought a larger, “posh” house after Britain’s Got Talent but never moved into it; her niece lived there, according to her 2015 Guardian interview. The Guardian had reported the same arrangement in its 2013 profile. In 2019, Boyle again told the Sunday Post that her niece lived in the “posh house.” This explains the contrast in her own accounts: the larger house was not the place she said she preferred to live.
