Paramount+ renewed the London crime drama on June 23, 2025, after reporting strong early viewing. Season 2 premiered globally on September 18, 2026, with ten episodes scheduled weekly through November 20. Paramount has already renewed the series for Season 3, announced September 3, 2026, although no Season 3 premiere date has been announced in the official material reviewed.
The renewal is no longer speculative
Paramount+ formally ordered a second season on June 23, 2025. That decision settled the question “Is MobLand getting a Season 2?” more than a year before the new season arrived.

The series follows rival London crime families—the Harrigans and the Stevensons—as their conflict threatens both their empires and their lives. Guy Ritchie is an executive producer, with Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren among the principal stars named in Paramount’s announcements.
Why Paramount had a strong case for renewal
Paramount’s 26-million figure indicated substantial reach
In its June 2025 renewal announcement, Paramount said MobLand had reached “26 million viewers to date” and was its No. 2 most-watched original series. Those are Paramount-reported figures, not an independent audience audit.
#1 Best Overall
- A sheriff tries to keep the peace when a desperate family man violently robs a pill mill with his brother-in-law, alerting an enforcer for the New Orleans mafia.
The methodology matters: Paramount calculated the 26 million by dividing total global watch time by the runtime of episode 101 during the first 70 days. English-speaking markets were measured over 70 days, while non-English-speaking markets used a nine-day window. The result should not be read as 26 million verified unique people.
The internal ranking used a different measurement
Paramount said its No. 2 position came from internal global household data measured over days 1–90. That ranking and the “26 million” estimate therefore describe different windows and units.
Nielsen visibility supported the momentum story
Paramount also reported that the show appeared in Nielsen’s Top 10 SVOD Original Series for five consecutive weeks: the weeks beginning April 14, April 21, April 28, May 5 and May 12, 2025. The cited Nielsen measure was minutes viewed among people age two and older (P2+) for SVOD originals. A Top 10 appearance measures viewing minutes, not unique subscribers or households.

What Season 3 means for the series
Paramount+ announced a Season 3 renewal on September 3, 2026, before Season 2 premiered. The announcement names Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren as returning. No Season 3 premiere date was provided in the official materials reviewed, so any specific date would be speculation.
Where to watch
Official announcements and the series catalog identify Paramount+ as the viewing service. Availability, plans and release timing can vary by territory, so check the Paramount+ listing for your country before subscribing. The catalog currently identifies the show as a two-season, 20-episode series while the second season’s announced weekly rollout continues.
What “practically guaranteed” gets right—and wrong
The phrase describes the strength of the evidence visible before the renewal: a high-profile cast, Paramount’s reported reach and ranking, and repeated Nielsen Top 10 appearances. It was never a mathematical guarantee; only Paramount’s actual renewal announcement could make Season 2 certain. That announcement arrived on June 23, 2025, and the completed premiere confirms the decision was carried through.
