Latest status: The available outage-trackers snapshots do not confirm a system-wide Hulu outage. Down for Everyone or Just Me reported Hulu operating normally in its latest accessible snapshot, while IsDown also showed normal service with isolated reports. Those snapshots were collected before August 18, 2026, so they cannot prove what happened at a particular minute afterward. No Hulu acknowledgment of a broad outage is established here. If videos will not load, use the isolation checks below to determine whether the fault is regional, title-specific, account-related, or local to your device or network.

What users may be seeing
“Videos not loading” can describe several different failures. Reported examples include:
- A title stays on a loading spinner.
- Playback starts and immediately stops, buffers, or freezes.
- An error such as “We’re having trouble loading this right now.”
- The app crashes or returns to its home screen.
- Live TV fails while on-demand programs play, or the reverse.
- Hulu opens but individual videos will not play.
- The website works while a smart-TV or mobile app fails.
- Login, bundle entitlement, redirect, or account-access errors prevent playback.
IsDown’s historical entries include loading, freezing, live-TV, login, and playback complaints. They are user-submitted symptoms, not verified root causes.

How to tell whether Hulu or your setup is responsible
- Try a second Hulu title.
- Open Hulu on another supported device.
- Switch networks, for example from home Wi-Fi to mobile data.
- Compare the website with the app.
- Test another streaming service.
- Check whether only live TV, only on-demand content, or all playback fails.
- Look for a synchronized increase in reports on more than one outage tracker.

Fixes to try before contacting Hulu
These are general troubleshooting steps, not guaranteed cures for a server-side outage. Hulu’s support center maintains guidance for connection problems, power-cycling, app data, and updates, buffering, and clearing browser cache.
- Force-close Hulu and reopen it.
- Restart the streaming device.
- Power-cycle the modem and router: unplug them, wait briefly, reconnect, and allow the connection to return.
- Try another title and then another device or browser.
- Update the Hulu app and the device operating system.
- Clear app cache or app data if your device offers that control.
- Clear the browser cache when using Hulu on the web; menus differ by browser.
- Temporarily disable VPNs, proxies, or unusual DNS settings. They can create location and access failures rather than solve them.
- Sign out and back in.
- Reinstall the app only when the problem is isolated to that device. Reinstalling repeatedly will not repair a Hulu-side outage.
If the same failure continues across devices and networks, use Hulu’s streaming-issues support or login and access support. Include the device, network, affected title or channel, time of failure, screenshots, and any exact error text.

If Hulu is experiencing a genuine outage
Wait and retry periodically rather than repeatedly changing account settings, clearing data, or reinstalling every device. Save an error screenshot and note whether login, the website, on-demand playback, or live TV recovers first. A regional or platform-specific incident can leave other Hulu users unaffected.

How long might it last?
There is no dependable Hulu resolution time. Down for Everyone or Just Me listed detected incidents of about 37 minutes on June 6, 2026 and one hour on January 7, 2026. Those are tracker estimates, not a universal service-level promise. Recent detected incidents have been relatively short, but duration varies by cause and region.

An updated report should add a material change: a sharp report spike, a matching cluster of playback failures, confirmation of a regional or device-specific pattern, a Hulu statement, or evidence that the incident ended. Without one of those developments, the accurate wording remains that Hulu appears normal in the available snapshots while some user reports remain unverified.
