The Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Disney Princess Limited Edition was real: after a May 2024 report uncovered clues in HyperOS source code, Xiaomi later announced the themed phone for China, with a launch scheduled for June 27, 2024. It was a collector-focused version of the regular Civi 4 Pro, not a new hardware platform. No official US launch or current official Disney-edition listing is established by the available sources.
From source-code clue to announced phone
On May 7, 2024, Android Headlines reported that HyperOS source-code references pointed to a Disney Princess-themed Civi 4 Pro. The references included the codename “chenfeng” and internal model number “N9.” Those details were evidence of a product in development, not by themselves a retail announcement or proof of launch timing.
That status changed in later coverage. Reports said Xiaomi product manager Hu Xinxin announced the customized phone, and follow-up reporting gave June 27, 2024, as its China launch date. The later name used was Xiaomi Civi 4 Pro Disney Princess Limited Edition. The sequence matters: the May story began as a source-code-based report, but it was subsequently followed by an announcement and a stated launch date.

What made it a Disney Princess edition?
The distinction was in the presentation and software rather than a reported hardware redesign. Coverage described Disney Princess-themed exterior styling, a themed HyperOS interface, and camera watermarks referencing Snow White and the Evil Queen. These watermarks offered a visible, shareable touch, but they do not indicate different camera sensors.
Special packaging and themed charging animations or other system elements were also reported or anticipated. Because the available official Xiaomi material here does not provide a Disney-edition product listing, those details should be treated as reported customization rather than a complete, independently verified retail-box inventory. A specific case, charm, or other accessory is not established.
The collaboration made most sense as a collector release: the branding, themed interface, packaging, and character-linked camera details were the point. It was not presented as a Disney-specific processor, display, or camera system. Earlier CIVI collaborations with character brands were also reported, including Hello Kitty, Strawberry Bear, and Mickey Mouse, but the exact names and edition details are contextual reporting rather than specifications for this phone. Hardware: the regular Civi 4 Pro is the baseline
The limited edition was reported to retain the core hardware of the standard Civi 4 Pro. Xiaomi’s official specifications page describes that standard model; the figures below should not be read as a separate Disney-edition specification sheet.

Why the cameras were part of the pitch
The regular Civi 4 Pro paired a 50MP main camera, reported with optical image stabilization, with a 50MP 2x telephoto and a 12MP ultrawide. Its dual 32MP front cameras included a wider-angle option for group selfies. The standard phone was associated with Leica imaging branding and optics; that branding is not an independent claim about image quality. The Disney watermarks added a themed software treatment, not a camera-hardware upgrade.
China launch and what international buyers should know
The limited edition was announced for China, and the original report expected it to remain China-only. The regular Civi 4 Pro was reported to reach India under the name Xiaomi 14 CIVI; that regional model is not the Disney Princess edition. The sources available here do not establish an official US, European, or Indian launch of the Disney model.

Xiaomi’s official pages located for the standard Civi 4 Pro list the regular phone, not a live Disney Princess product page: specifications and Xiaomi’s product page. This does not establish current stock, price, or official international support for the limited edition.
Before importing one
An overseas marketplace listing is not the same as official availability in your country. Before paying, get the seller to confirm the exact model and check:
- Whether it has the original China ROM or a seller-modified ROM, what languages it supports, and whether Google Play is available.
- LTE and 5G band compatibility for your carrier, plus VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling support.
- Whether the bootloader is locked and whether normal over-the-air updates work.
- Whether NFC, banking apps, Android Auto, and the regional services you depend on function on that software configuration.
- Whether the box and accessories are genuine limited-edition items, and whether the phone is new, refurbished, or a standard model with aftermarket theming.
- The return policy, local repair options, warranty coverage, shipping charges, and import taxes.
Do not assume a China-market phone has the network compatibility, Google integration, warranty, or payment support of a locally sold model. Import costs can also include shipping, tax, and seller markup. The available sources do not establish a reliable current official price or a verified current seller listing.

Who the limited edition made sense for
For a Disney or Xiaomi collector, the appeal was the official franchise tie-in, distinctive design, themed software, character watermarks, and regional rarity. Those traits are meaningful if the phone is intended as a collectible or if the buyer specifically wants the themed experience.
For a mainstream buyer, the edition offered little reported performance benefit over the standard Civi 4 Pro. A China import can also bring warranty, software, service, and compatibility compromises. Indian buyers seeking the same general hardware may find the locally named Xiaomi 14 CIVI more practical, while recognizing that it is not the Disney collectible.
