Netflix does not offer a normal official search that browses every country’s catalog at once. For cross-country discovery, start with uNoGS, then use FlixPatrol to cross-check a known title. Treat both as third-party lookup tools: a listing is a lead, not proof that the title will play for you. Confirm availability on Netflix before making a viewing decision.
Search Netflix catalogs worldwide with uNoGS
uNoGS is an unofficial database designed for searching Netflix titles by country. Its site provides title search, country-selection controls and catalog filters. The exact controls, coverage and any account limits can change, so check the live interface when you use it.
- Open uNoGS and search for the movie or series.
- Choose the matching result, checking that it is the right title and that it is listed as a movie or TV show as expected.
- Select the countries you want to examine using the site’s country controls.
- Review the country listings and any available details, such as genre, year, rating, audio, subtitles or seasons.
- Record when you checked, then verify the important result on Netflix. Catalogs change, and a third-party listing may lag behind a licensing change.
For a country-first search, select a market and narrow the results with the filters available on the site. For several countries, use its country-selection controls and compare the title’s country list. Do not assume the tool provides a true search for titles present in every selected country; if it does not show an intersection, compare the results yourself.

- Check whether the page identifies the correct movie or series; for a show, confirm the seasons and episodes directly on Netflix.
- Compare the country result with uNoGS. If they disagree, treat the discrepancy as a prompt to verify rather than choosing one result as definitive.
FlixPatrol’s availability information covers a tracked set, not every Netflix market: its methodology page says it tracks 93 Netflix countries. Netflix says its service is available in more than 190 countries, so “all regions” should mean all regions covered by the database you are using, not a guaranteed worldwide inventory. See FlixPatrol’s coverage notes and Netflix’s country and VPN guidance.
Which tool should you use?
| Tool | Best use | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| uNoGS | Searching Netflix titles by country and filtering catalog results. | Unofficial; coverage, freshness, interface and account limits may vary. |
| FlixPatrol | Cross-checking a known title’s listed Netflix countries. | Its stated Netflix tracking set is 93 countries, not every Netflix market. |
| JustWatch | Finding where a title is available across services in a selected country. | Better suited to local, multi-service discovery than searching every Netflix country. |
| Netflix | Confirming what is available in your current region. | Its normal search is not a global country-catalog browser. |
Why Netflix search may not show a title
Netflix’s catalog varies by country because rights, licensing windows, regional popularity and competing exclusivity arrangements differ. A title can be available in one market and absent in another, or leave a catalog when its rights expire. Netflix explains these differences in its catalog availability guidance.

- Profile language: Netflix says search may show only titles with audio or subtitles in the profile language. Its language guidance explains how changing the profile language can reveal other titles available in that region, regardless of language support.
- Regional rights: The title may not be licensed in your country, or its license may have ended. Netflix’s missing-title troubleshooting covers possible reasons.
- Different title name: Try the original-language title, a localized title or alternate spelling. If available, search by cast or director as well.
- VPN or proxy: Netflix says VPN use may cause it to show only titles available globally, rather than the full catalog for the selected country.
- Partial series availability: A database may mark a series as available even if some seasons or episodes are missing. Open the Netflix listing and inspect what is actually playable.
A Netflix Original is not always available everywhere
The Netflix Original label does not guarantee worldwide availability. Netflix says some originals are unavailable in particular countries because Netflix did not hold the regional rights when the title was first released, or another company holds those rights. Some titles may also be available only for a limited time or in selected territories. See Netflix’s explanation of title availability.
Does finding a title in another region mean you can watch it?
No. Catalog discovery and playback access are different questions. A third-party site can report that Netflix lists a title in a country, but that does not establish that it will play from your location, account or device. Netflix says it may show only globally available titles when it detects a VPN; a VPN is therefore not a guaranteed way to see or play a selected country’s full catalog. Review Netflix’s current VPN and country guidance and applicable local law before changing your setup.
