Check Hoopla first. If your participating U.S. library carries Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, you may be able to borrow and stream it at no additional cost with your library card. If it is not in your library’s catalog, the main legitimate alternative is an eligible Hallmark+ free trial—with a payment method and automatic renewal to watch for.
In the United States, check Hoopla first. If your participating library carries Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story, you may be able to borrow and stream it at no additional cost with a library card. If it is unavailable through your library, the main legitimate alternative is an eligible Hallmark+ free trial—but Hallmark+ requires a payment method and automatically renews at the regular rate unless you cancel in time.
This guide covers the legal ways to watch the 2024 Hallmark movie online, including library access, trial-based services, rental and purchase options, and the extended cut. Availability, prices, catalog listings, and trial eligibility can change, so verify the offer shown immediately before watching. The information below is for viewers in the U.S. and was last checked against the supplied research on August 12, 2026.
1. Check Hoopla for free library streaming
Hoopla is the best first option if you want to watch Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story without paying for a streaming subscription. U.S. listings identify the movie as available on Hoopla at no additional charge to eligible library users.

That access is conditional, however. Hoopla does not offer the same catalog to everyone: availability depends on whether your public library participates, whether your library has licensed this particular title, and sometimes whether you have reached a borrowing limit.
How to check Hoopla
- Open the Hoopla website or mobile app.
- Sign in or create an account using a library card from a participating library.
- Select or confirm your library system if Hoopla asks you to do so.
- Search for Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.
- If the movie appears in your library’s catalog, open it and follow the borrow or play instructions.
If the title does not appear, that does not necessarily mean Hoopla has removed it everywhere. It may simply be unavailable through your particular library account. Try searching the title in your library’s digital-media catalog, or ask the library whether it supports Hoopla and whether another digital borrowing service is available.
Best wording to remember: you may be able to watch the movie free with your library card; Hoopla access is not universal and is not guaranteed for every library.
2. Use an eligible Hallmark+ free trial
Hallmark’s official membership page currently lists Hallmark+ at $7.99 per month after the trial and provides a free-trial signup option. This can be a practical route if Hoopla does not carry the film, especially if you also want access to Hallmark’s wider catalog.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

- a valid payment method is required;
- free trials are offered only to eligible users;
- eligibility may be limited for new or returning subscribers; and
- an earlier Hallmark subscription within the preceding 12 months may make you ineligible.
The subscription automatically renews after the trial unless you cancel before the trial ends. Check the exact trial length, renewal date, price, and cancellation instructions displayed on your account before confirming signup. If you only want to watch this movie, set a reminder several days before the renewal date rather than assuming that deleting the app or stopping playback will cancel the subscription.
Why Hallmark+ may be particularly useful for this movie
Hallmark+ listings include an extended-cut version of the film, with extended scenes and alternate cuts. The exact version available can depend on the Hallmark+ listing or platform you use, so check the title description before pressing play if you specifically want the extended cut.
3. Hallmark+ channels through Amazon or Apple TV
U.S. availability listings also identify Hallmark+ through Amazon Channels, Hallmark+ through Apple TV Channels, and Hallmark TV through Amazon Channels. These are subscription-based routes, although a platform may show a trial or promotional offer for an eligible account.

4. Try live-TV streaming services if a trial is available
Current U.S. listings identify fuboTV, Philo, and YouTube TV as services that may carry the movie. These are not permanently free options. They are live-TV subscription services, and any no-cost access would come through a trial or account-specific promotion.

Trial eligibility and duration can vary by date, location, device, and whether an account has used a previous promotion. Before starting one, confirm all of the following on the provider’s checkout page:
- that Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story is currently available in your plan or live-TV schedule;
- the exact trial end date;
- the subscription price after the trial;
- the required payment method; and
- how cancellation works for your account.
A live-TV trial may be worthwhile if you already want the service for other programming. It is usually excessive for someone who only wants this one 90-minute movie and cannot use Hoopla.
5. Rent or buy the movie digitally
If free access and trials are unavailable, digital rental is the simplest one-time fallback. The indexed U.S. Amazon listing shows an HD rental price of $3.99 and an HD purchase price of $7.99; prices can change. JustWatch also lists digital rental or purchase options through Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home.
The rental and purchase versions are paid options, not answers to the “free” part of the search. They can nevertheless be cheaper and less complicated than starting a recurring live-TV subscription, particularly if you do not want to track a trial cancellation date.
Before paying, verify:
- which cut of the movie the listing includes;
- whether the price is for rental or purchase;
- the rental viewing period and start deadline;
- compatible devices and apps; and
- whether the transaction is available in your country or territory.
6. Buy the DVD for permanent physical access
A DVD is not online streaming and is not free, but it may suit viewers who want a permanent physical copy, a gift, or access that does not depend on a changing streaming catalog. The indexed Amazon listing showed the DVD from approximately $12.96, subject to seller, stock, and price changes.

The physical release pairs Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story with On the 12th Date of Christmas. Buying the disc does not provide online streaming access, and you will need a compatible DVD player or drive.
Paid physical option: Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story DVD is the most relevant choice for viewers who prefer a disc over a subscription or digital rental. Check the seller, format, shipping cost, and regional compatibility before ordering.
What is the movie about?
Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story is a 2024 Hallmark Christmas romantic comedy directed by John Putch. Hunter King plays Alana Higman, a Kansas City Chiefs superfan whose family enters the Chiefs’ Fan of the Year competition. She develops a relationship with Derrick, a member of the Chiefs organization, played by Tyler Hynes.
The romance is complicated by a missing vintage Chiefs hat, which becomes part of the story’s fate-and-destiny thread. Hallmark scheduled the original premiere for November 30, 2024, at 8 p.m. Eastern/7 p.m. Central on Hallmark Channel. Hallmark has also published an extended-cut preview and a Hallmark+ listing for the longer version.

How to avoid unsafe “free movie” pages
Stick to Hoopla, your public library, Hallmark’s official service, established channel platforms, and licensed digital retailers. Avoid pages that promise the full movie through an unfamiliar player, require a suspicious browser extension, ask for unusual payment details, or repeatedly redirect you to unrelated sites.

- BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE: Works with earlier versions to allow for use with a wide range of HDMI-enabled devices
Unauthorized streaming pages can expose visitors to aggressive advertising, misleading downloads, third-party tracking, and privacy risks in addition to copyright concerns. There is no need to identify or link to those sites: the safer approach is to use a library catalog or verify the title through a recognized legal provider.
Bottom line
Search Hoopla before doing anything else. If your participating library has the movie, it is the strongest legitimate no-additional-cost option. If it does not, check Hallmark+ for an eligible trial and note the automatic renewal at $7.99 per month according to the current official membership listing. Otherwise, rent the film digitally, compare a current live-TV trial, or buy the DVD if you want a physical copy. Always verify the title, version, price, and availability immediately before watching because streaming catalogs and promotions change.
