Crunchyroll’s original release announcement covered North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, the CIS, and India. That territory list should be used instead of assuming that the simulcast was available in every country worldwide. Licensing, subscription requirements, and the episodes or language tracks shown can differ by location.

What time did Season 2 release in other time zones?
The announced time was 9:30 a.m. PT on January 4, 2025. Because that was Pacific Standard Time in January, the equivalent time in several major zones was:
- 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time on January 4
- 5:30 p.m. GMT on January 4
- 6:30 p.m. Central European Time on January 4
- 11:00 p.m. India Standard Time on January 4
- 2:30 a.m. Japan Standard Time on January 5
Local availability could still depend on the country’s licensing arrangement and Crunchyroll’s regional schedule. The time-zone conversions explain why some viewers saw the episode on January 5 locally even though the published U.S. Pacific-time premiere was January 4. Crunchyroll’s release guide gives the official time and territory scope.
Crunchyroll’s Season 2 guide confirms the January 4 subtitled launch and provides the service’s release information.
When did the English dub start?
The English dub did not premiere at the same time as the subtitled version. Crunchyroll announced that the English dub began streaming on January 18, 2025, two weeks after the subtitled premiere. Aleks Le voices Sung Jinwoo in the English-language version, alongside the separately announced English dub cast and crew.

Therefore, the useful distinction is:
- Subtitles: January 4, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. PT
- English dub: January 18, 2025
The two dates should not be treated as competing release dates. January 4 was the subtitled simulcast premiere; January 18 was the start of the English dub rollout. See Crunchyroll’s English dub announcement for the dub cast and release information.

If Season 2, a particular episode, or a preferred dub does not appear, check that you are signed in and that your country supports that version. The catalog can vary according to territory, licensing, account status, and the specific Crunchyroll app or website listing. Do not assume that a result available in the United States will be identical elsewhere.
Why are some pages still saying Season 2 is upcoming?
Season 2 was officially confirmed on March 30, 2024, but Crunchyroll had not announced a release date at that point. Later, on December 13, 2024, Crunchyroll included the season in its Winter 2025 lineup as a January simulcast. The confirmed premiere followed on January 4, 2025.
This explains the outdated wording found in older search results. The March 2024 announcement is evidence that the season was renewed and planned for Crunchyroll; it is not the source of the final release date. For a current answer, use the past tense: Solo Leveling Season 2 premiered on Crunchyroll on January 4, 2025.
Season 2 title, studio, and production details
The official styling is Solo Leveling Season 2 -Arise from the Shadow-. The anime is directed by Shunsuke Nakashige and produced by A-1 Pictures. Noboru Kimura handles series composition, Tomoko Sudo is responsible for character designs, and Hiroyuki Sawano provides the music.
The Japanese official anime site also lists January 4, 2025, as the Japanese broadcast start under the corresponding Japanese title. That supports the launch date, although the Japanese broadcast schedule should not be confused with Crunchyroll’s separately published 9:30 a.m. Pacific-time streaming announcement.
For readers who want to compare the adaptation with its source, the Solo Leveling manhwa collection at the Crunchyroll Store includes English-language volumes, including Volume 12. A physical volume can be a useful starting point for revisiting Jinwoo’s story, but it is optional: it is not required to watch Season 2 on Crunchyroll, and stock or regional availability should be checked before ordering.
