IYO SKY defeated Rhea Ripley to win the Women’s World Championship, completely changing the expected WrestleMania 41 title match. Instead of Bianca Belair facing Ripley, Belair’s Elimination Chamber victory now gives her a championship opportunity against SKY.
The Raw episode from KeyBank Center in Buffalo, New York, was the first major WWE television stop after Elimination Chamber 2025. It combined three advertised championship matches with fallout from the men’s Chamber match, CM Punk and Seth Rollins’ continuing feud, Gunther’s conflict with Jey Uso, and several other post-pay-per-view angles.

Advertised match card before the show
The following was the announced card before the bell rang. It is separate from the confirmed results later in this article.
Rhea Ripley (c) vs. IYO SKY — Women’s World Championship
Rhea Ripley was scheduled to defend the Women’s World Championship against IYO SKY. Bianca Belair, fresh from winning the 2025 Women’s Elimination Chamber match, was expected to appear because the winner of Ripley versus SKY would become her WrestleMania 41 opponent.
The match also had a personal backstory: Ripley had previously cost SKY an opportunity to enter the Elimination Chamber. That gave SKY a clear reason to target the champion, while Ripley entered as the established titleholder and the apparent favorite for the planned Belair program.
Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Ivy Nile — Women’s Intercontinental Championship
Lyra Valkyria put the Women’s Intercontinental Championship on the line against Ivy Nile. Nile had attacked Valkyria and Dakota Kai after one of Valkyria’s earlier defenses, making this a direct continuation of that confrontation rather than a random title challenge.

War Raiders (c) vs. Brutus Creed and Julius Creed — World Tag Team Championship
Erik and Ivar of the War Raiders were scheduled to defend the World Tag Team Championship against Brutus Creed and Julius Creed. Their previous meeting ended in disqualification after American Made used the championships as weapons, protecting the Creed Brothers while creating the justification for a rematch.
The contemporary name for the championship was the World Tag Team Championship. It should not be casually relabeled the Raw Tag Team Championship, an older name from WWE’s previous branding structure.
Advertised appearances and story segments
CM Punk and Seth Rollins were both scheduled to appear after Rollins interfered in the men’s Elimination Chamber match and attacked Punk. World Heavyweight Champion Gunther was also advertised, with his segment tied to Jey Uso. Belair’s appearance was particularly important because of her guaranteed WrestleMania title opportunity.
Retrospective predictions for the advertised card

Rhea Ripley vs. IYO SKY
A slight prediction for Ripley to retain was defensible. The match had been presented as the final obstacle before the expected Ripley–Belair direction at WrestleMania 41. However, SKY winning was also a strong possibility: it created a fresh Belair title match and gave the episode a meaningful surprise. The less conventional forecast turned out to be correct—SKY won the championship.
Lyra Valkyria vs. Ivy Nile
Valkyria was the safer pick. Nile had established herself as a credible challenger through the attack on Valkyria and Dakota Kai, but Valkyria was still being positioned as the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Valkyria retained, matching the conservative pre-show prediction.
War Raiders vs. The Creed Brothers
The War Raiders were also the logical prediction. The earlier disqualification protected the Creed Brothers, but the rematch structure suggested that the champions were more likely to make a decisive defense than immediately drop the titles. That forecast was correct.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins
A confrontation was more likely than a formal match. Their Elimination Chamber dispute was the clearest reason for both men to be in Buffalo, but the television build had not established this as an announced singles contest. The show delivered a brawl, with a later match set for Madison Square Garden.
Gunther and Jey Uso
The pre-show expectation was a Gunther promo or a confrontation involving Jey Uso rather than a scheduled title defense. Gunther instead wrestled Otis in a non-title match and became involved in an attack on Uso afterward.

Gunther defeated Otis without putting the World Heavyweight Championship at stake. Gunther continued attacking Otis after the match until Jey Uso intervened. A-Town Down Under then attacked Uso, giving Gunther the opening to apply a sleeper hold.
The sequence kept Gunther and Uso on a collision course while making clear that the champion’s advertised appearance would involve more than a standard promotional segment.

Valkyria successfully defended her title despite working through a leg injury. She finished Nile with Nightwing to remain Women’s Intercontinental Champion.

The War Raiders defeated The Creed Brothers to retain the World Tag Team Championship
Erik and Ivar defeated Brutus Creed and Julius Creed to keep the World Tag Team Championship. The rematch resolved the earlier disqualification without producing a change of champions.
IYO SKY defeated Rhea Ripley to win the Women’s World Championship
The most important match of the night ended with a title change. An altercation involving Ripley and Bianca Belair at ringside disrupted the closing stretch, allowing SKY to hit Over the Moonsault and pin Ripley.
SKY’s victory was not simply another championship result. It redirected one of WWE’s central WrestleMania 41 stories and made SKY the new opponent for Belair, the winner of the Women’s Elimination Chamber match.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins brawled
Punk delivered a hostile promo aimed at The Rock and John Cena before Rollins confronted him. SKY’s title win was the episode’s decisive WrestleMania pivot. Before Raw, the natural expectation was that Ripley would retain and meet Belair for the Women’s World Championship. Instead, Belair’s championship opportunity now points to IYO SKY vs. Bianca Belair.

Rather than functioning only as a collection of title defenses, Raw advanced Punk versus Rollins, Gunther versus Uso, Penta versus Kaiser, and Judgment Day’s issues with Breakker.
