Despite the wording of this guide, the official Apple materials reviewed for the March release window did not identify a new Apple Original feature-film premiere. The titles below are therefore television series, not a forced list of “March movies.” For example, The Gorge arrived on February 14, 2025, and should not be counted as a March release.

1. The Studio: the best overall pick
The Studio is the clearest must-watch from Apple TV+’s March lineup. Seth Rogen plays Matt Remick, the newly appointed head of the fictional Continental Studios. His job is to keep the company profitable and culturally relevant while navigating actors, directors, marketing departments, awards campaigns, corporate demands, and the constant fear that one bad decision could end his career.

The premise gives the comedy a particularly useful engine: every ordinary studio obligation becomes a crisis. A casting discussion can turn into a political problem; a set visit can become a public-relations disaster; and an awards event can expose the gap between artistic ambition and corporate self-interest. It is less a conventional sitcom than a professional panic attack set inside the film business.
Rogen leads a strong ensemble that includes Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, and Chase Sui Wonders. Guest appearances, including Bryan Cranston, add to the show’s movie-industry flavor. The series runs for 10 half-hour episodes.

2. Dope Thief: the best crime drama
Dope Thief follows two longtime Philadelphia friends and delinquents who impersonate DEA agents to rob a house. What begins as a small-time criminal scheme becomes a life-or-death crisis when they accidentally expose a major narcotics corridor running along the Eastern Seaboard.
Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura lead the eight-episode drama. The cast also includes Marin Ireland, Kate Mulgrew, and Ving Rhames. Peter Craig created and executive produced the series, while Ridley Scott executive produced and directed the first episode.

The appeal is the escalation. The protagonists are not skilled law-enforcement officers or polished masterminds; they are morally compromised people whose shortcut places them in the path of a much larger operation. That setup makes Dope Thief a good choice for viewers who prefer crime stories built around bad decisions, uneasy alliances, and consequences that keep widening.

The series is based on Dennis Tafoya’s novel of the same name. If you like comparing adaptations with their source material, the Dope Thief book is the most directly relevant companion read for this month’s Apple TV+ lineup. It is an optional comparison, not a requirement for following the series.
Choose it if: you want a darker, grounded crime drama with flawed protagonists and a conspiracy that grows out of an apparently manageable robbery.
3. BE@RBRICK: the best family option
BE@RBRICK is a 13-episode CG-animated comedy aimed at kids and families. Its story follows Jasmine Finch and her bandmates as they pursue their dreams in a society that assigns people’s roles and determines their future appearance after high school.
That premise gives the series a clear theme of self-expression and identity beneath its music-driven, collectible-inspired surface. Jasmine and her friends are trying to decide who they want to become in a world that has already made those decisions for them.

The series is based on MEDICOM TOY’s BE@RBRICK collectible figures. Apple identifies DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu as production partners, with Timbaland serving as executive music producer. The original score is by Jina Hyojin An and Shirley Song.
Families interested in the connection between the show and its source franchise can look for a BE@RBRICK collectible figure, but check that any figure is a current, licensed MEDICOM TOY product before buying. The toys are optional merchandise; understanding the series does not require owning one.
Choose it if: you are looking for animated family viewing with music, friendship, creative ambition, and a story about resisting externally assigned identities.
4. Side Quest: the best choice for Mythic Quest fans
Side Quest is an anthology comedy that expands the Mythic Quest universe beyond the central workplace. Rather than functioning as a straightforward new season of the parent series, it examines the employees, players, and fans whose lives are affected by the game.
That distinction matters. The series is connected to Mythic Quest, but its anthology format allows it to shift attention away from the main office and explore different corners of the game’s wider community. Existing fans get additional context for the fictional game’s influence, while viewers who prefer self-contained character stories may find the structure more approachable than a single continuing plot.

That does not mean the Apple TV app had no films available during March. Before buying any device, check that your television, sound system, network, and region support the particular video and audio formats you want. A television with no compatible HDR support, for example, will not display every format the box can output.
