The opening ceremony took place at Milan’s San Siro Olympic Stadium on February 6. CBC Gem is the service to check for Canadian Olympic coverage, live events, replays and event-specific streams during the Games. Viewers should use the current CBC schedule or the relevant event listing for exact start times and stream availability, since a complete event-by-event schedule can change.
Why watch on CBC Gem: it is the strongest option in this week’s lineup if you want an event as it happens rather than a new on-demand series. It also suits viewers who miss a live competition and need a replay, although the precise replay and stream presentation may vary by event.
Crave: The Borderline gets the week’s biggest Canadian launch
The headline Crave release is The Borderline, a six-episode Canadian crime thriller starring Stephen Amell and Hamza Haq.
The first episode aired on Crave and CTV immediately after Super Bowl LX on Sunday, February 8. The remaining episodes continued on Fridays on Crave. That post-Super Bowl placement gave the series an unusually prominent introduction and makes it the clearest Crave recommendation for this week.

Other Crave additions and premieres
- February 4: Lysandre + Claude premiered.
- February 6: Hockey Fanatics, Gabrielle, Sweet Summer Pow Wow, Lovely, A Nice Indian Boy, Easter Sunday, Transformers: Rise of the Beasts and The Girl Who Cried Pearls were added.
Crave pick: choose The Borderline if you want a new Canadian drama with a high-profile launch. The other additions make February 6 a broader film-and-specials update rather than a second major scripted-series event.
Disney+ Canada: The Muppet Show returns
The Disney+ event of the week is The Muppet Show, which premiered on February 4 with Sabrina Carpenter as the special guest. Its appeal is different from a new serialized drama: this is a recognizable variety-show revival and a nostalgia-led arrival that can be sampled without committing to a long season.
Disney+ Canada schedule for February 4–7
- February 4: The Muppet Show premiered. Disney+ also released new episodes of High Potential, Pole to Pole with Will Smith, The Beauty and Will Trent.
- February 5: New episodes of Abbott Elementary Season 5 arrived.
- February 6: Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs were added, along with new episodes of Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends and Mickey Mouse Clubhouse+.
- February 7: All episodes of Engineering Europe arrived, alongside a new episode of The Medalist Season 2.
The important distinction is that this is a mixed schedule. The Muppet Show is the week’s event-style premiere; several other entries are weekly episodes, while Jackie Brown and Reservoir Dogs are library-film additions. If you want one evening of familiar films, the February 6 pair is an especially straightforward choice.
Netflix Canada: The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4
The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4 premiered on Netflix on February 5. The season contains 10 episodes and is inspired by Michael Connelly’s novel The Law of Innocence.
The central change in premise gives this season a stronger hook than simply “Mickey Haller takes another case.” Haller, the defense lawyer at the centre of the series, becomes the defendant in a murder case and has to fight to prove his own innocence. He is now forced to navigate the criminal justice system from the position usually occupied by his clients.

That makes Season 4 the week’s best choice for viewers who want a complete, plot-driven binge. It is also the clearest recommendation for returning fans: the franchise’s familiar legal setting remains intact, but the personal stakes are substantially higher.
Other Netflix releases in the same window
- February 3: Mo Gilligan: In the Moment.
- February 4: Is It Cake? Valentines.
- February 5: Cash Queens, Samuel, Unfamiliar and The Lincoln Lawyer Season 4.
- February 6: Eagle Eye, He’s Just Not That Into You, Queen of Chess, Salvador, Sex and the City: The Movie, Sex and the City 2 and Yoh! Bestie.
- February 8: BlacKkKlansman.
Prime Video Canada: Fallout, relationship advice and hockey
Prime Video Canada’s most time-sensitive release is the Fallout Season 2 finale, available on February 4. It is the week’s main choice for viewers already following the post-apocalyptic series and wanting to see how the second season concludes.
Prime Video Canada schedule
- February 2: Prime Monday Night Hockey: Canadiens vs. Wild.
- February 3: Films from The Hunger Games, Kill Bill and The Twilight Saga arrived during the broader February launch window.
- February 4: The Fallout Season 2 finale and Relationship Goals.
- February 5: NHL Coast to Coast.
The Prime Video schedule therefore splits into three kinds of viewing: the must-watch weekly conclusion of Fallout, relationship-oriented programming in Relationship Goals, and live or studio hockey coverage. The licensed film additions are useful secondary options, but their availability should be checked in the Canadian Prime Video catalogue rather than assumed from a U.S. listing.
