For documentary viewers, it was one of the ceremony’s clearest recognitions of nonfiction filmmaking. The award was separate from the narrative-film prizes and from BAFTA’s short-film categories.
Special, honorary and emerging-talent awards
- David Jonsson received the EE Rising Star Award, the ceremony’s only publicly voted prize.
- Warwick Davis received the BAFTA Fellowship, an honorary award rather than a competitive category.
- MediCinema received the Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema award, also a non-competitive honor.
- Rich Peppiatt won Outstanding Debut by a British Writer, Director or Producer for Kneecap.
Where to watch the 2025 BAFTA-winning films
Availability for the winning films changes by country, platform, format and licensing window. Check a local digital store, streaming service or retailer for the specific title rather than assuming that a film’s BAFTA win means it is available on a particular platform.
For viewers building a physical collection, Conclave Blu-ray or DVD is the most direct home-media option connected to the night’s top winner. Check the disc format, region compatibility, subtitles and current stock before ordering. A retailer link, where provided, may be an affiliate link and availability can change.
Other titles worth checking for home viewing include The Brutalist, Anora and Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl. Streaming and digital availability is particularly likely to differ between the United Kingdom, the United States and other territories.
For the controlling record of category names and credited recipients, consult BAFTA’s official 2025 Film Awards results archive. The results are historical, while viewing availability remains volatile and region-specific.
