Spoiler warning: This guide covers major Fire Country season 4 cast changes, character developments, and the season finale. Season 4 is complete, with 20 episodes that premiered on CBS on October 17, 2025, and concluded with “Try Not to Drown” on May 22, 2026.
The five official season 4 series regulars are Max Thieriot as Bode Donovan/Bode Leone, Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez, Diane Farr as Sharon Leone, Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford, and Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards. The most important change is that Billy Burke’s Vince Leone does not return as a regular after Vince dies in the season 3 finale. Stephanie Arcila’s Gabriela Perez also leaves the regular cast early in season 4, although the character remains important to Bode’s story.
At a glance: the season 4 regular cast
| Actor | Character | Season 4 status |
|---|---|---|
| Max Thieriot | Bode Donovan/Bode Leone | Series regular; central protagonist |
| Kevin Alejandro | Manny Perez | Series regular; Cal Fire leader and Gabriela’s father |
| Diane Farr | Sharon Leone | Series regular; Bode’s mother and Vince’s widow |
| Jordan Calloway | Jake Crawford | Series regular; longtime member of the Edgewater firefighting community |
| Jules Latimer | Eve Edwards | Series regular; Cal Fire firefighter connected to Three Rock |
Season 4 begins in the aftermath of the Zabel Ridge fire and the destruction seen at the end of season 3. The story continues to move between Station 42, the Three Rock conservation camp, and the Edgewater community, combining emergency rescues with leadership disputes, family grief, investigations, and difficult personal choices.
Max Thieriot as Bode Donovan/Bode Leone
Bode Donovan, also known as Bode Leone, remains the main character of Fire Country, played by Max Thieriot. Official and secondary listings use both surnames, so readers may see the character identified as either Bode Donovan or Bode Leone.

Bode is an Edgewater native and former convict who joins a prison-release firefighting program in Northern California. The program places incarcerated firefighters alongside Cal Fire personnel, giving Bode a chance to earn redemption and potentially shorten his sentence while returning him to the hometown—and family history—he once left behind.
By season 4, Bode is trying to establish himself not only as a free man but also as a credible firefighter and leader. His story is no longer simply about surviving the consequences of his past. It is also about whether he can earn trust, make sound decisions under pressure, and build a future without repeating the choices that brought him into the prison system.
Season 4 uses Bode’s professional advancement as one of its main through lines. “Fresh Start,” which reopens Three Rock, also reconnects Bode with Chloe Mackenzie, a former high-school classmate. Later in the season, “The Bravest” places Bode and Deputy Nathan Boone in a rescue operation involving nine missing students.
Kevin Alejandro as Manny Perez
Kevin Alejandro plays Manny Perez, a senior Cal Fire figure and Gabriela Perez’s father. Manny is one of the five official season 4 regulars and remains a major leadership presence as the department and the Edgewater community adjust to the season 3 losses.

The unexpected return of Battalion Chief Brett Richards challenges Manny’s authority and intensifies his growing self-doubt. The episode “Life of a Firefighter” specifically focuses on Manny’s uncertainty after Richards re-enters the picture.
Manny also continues to occupy an emotionally complicated position within the Perez and Leone families. He is Gabriela’s father, has a long history with the people of Edgewater, and must balance the responsibilities of command with the consequences of decisions made by the firefighters closest to him.
Diane Farr as Sharon Leone
Diane Farr plays Sharon Leone, Bode’s mother and a central member of the Leone family. Sharon remains a season 4 regular after Vince’s death, and much of her season 4 material is shaped by grief, family history, and the question of how the Leones move forward without Vince.
Sharon’s story includes her struggle with Vince’s belongings, the return or reappearance of difficult family history involving her estranged mother Ruby, and her developing relationship with Renee, Vince’s former partner. Those storylines give Sharon a role beyond that of Bode’s mother: she is dealing with the practical and emotional consequences of losing the person who helped define her adult life.

Jordan Calloway as Jake Crawford
Jordan Calloway plays Jake Crawford, a longtime member of Edgewater’s firefighting circle and one of the returning season 4 regulars.
Jake’s season 4 material explores professional pressure, leadership expectations, and painful memories of his late father. His past continues to affect the way he approaches responsibility and the people around him, even as he tries to make decisions based on the future rather than old wounds.
The official synopsis for episode 16 teases a life-altering decision for Jake. That decision becomes one of the season’s important character reference points and reinforces that season 4 is not only changing the department’s leadership structure; it is also forcing longtime Edgewater firefighters to reconsider where they belong.
Jules Latimer as Eve Edwards
Jules Latimer plays Eve Edwards, a Cal Fire firefighter and the captain associated with Three Rock. Eve remains a season 4 series regular and is closely connected to both the station’s firefighting operations and the conservation-camp storyline.
Eve’s role is especially important as Three Rock reopens and the show continues examining the relationship between incarcerated firefighters and the professional Cal Fire personnel working beside them. She helps anchor the camp’s operational and interpersonal storylines while remaining part of the broader Station 42 network.
Latimer also directed season 4 episode 15, “Making Things Go Boom.” That behind-the-camera contribution is separate from Eve’s fictional role, but it is a notable part of Latimer’s season 4 involvement with the series.
Important recurring and guest cast
Stephanie Arcila as Gabriela Perez
Stephanie Arcila plays Gabriela Perez, Manny’s daughter and Bode’s on-again, off-again love interest. Gabriela is one of the most important characters connected to Bode’s personal story, but Arcila is not part of the season 4 regular ensemble for the full season. Paramount’s season 4 information identifies her as leaving the regular cast early in the season.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThat status change should not be confused with Gabriela becoming irrelevant. Promotional material still includes the character, and her relationship with Bode remains part of the show’s emotional framework. The accurate description is that Gabriela has a reduced season 4 regular-cast status, not that the character disappears from the series altogether.
Shawn Hatosy as Battalion Chief Brett Richards
Shawn Hatosy joins the season 4 cast as Battalion Chief Brett Richards, a new recurring leadership presence. Richards’s management style creates friction at Station 42, particularly when his unexpected return places Manny’s authority and confidence under pressure.

- Hassle-Free Assembly: Assembling this tabletop TV stand is a breeze thanks to detailed instructions and labeled hardware included. There’s no need to drill holes or invest in expensive tools. Two cable clips attach to the back of the pillar to neatly route wires for a clean look.
Richards is not presented as one of the five official season 4 series regulars. He is instead a significant recurring character whose arrival changes the chain of command and gives Manny one of the season’s clearest professional conflicts.
Alona Tal as Chloe Mackenzie
Alona Tal plays Chloe Mackenzie, a former classmate of Bode’s who reconnects with him during the high-school drunk-driving drill in “Fresh Start.” Chloe’s return gives Bode a connection to the life he might have had before prison and to the Edgewater community he is still trying to rejoin.
Chloe’s season 4 storyline also includes her family situation and her relationship with Landon. Tal appears in season 4 promotional and finale material, but Chloe should be described as a recurring character rather than a series regular.
Josh McDermitt as Landon
Josh McDermitt plays Landon, Chloe’s partner and a father figure to her son, Tyler. Landon’s role is recurring, not part of the five-person official regular cast list.
His connection to Chloe and Tyler gives the season’s Bode-and-Chloe material a family dimension. The storyline is not simply about two former classmates reconnecting; it also involves the responsibilities and complications of Chloe’s present life.
Renee: a credit that requires episode-specific checking
Renee is associated with Vince’s past and Sharon’s healing, but the available official materials do not support treating every Renee credit as belonging automatically to one performer.

The CBS episode guide identifies Constance Zimmer as Renee in episode 3, “The Tiny Ways We Start to Heal.” Later Paramount Press Express season 4 finale photo listings feature Natalie Zea as Renee. Because those materials do not cleanly establish that the two listings refer to the same billing arrangement or appearance pattern, episode-specific credits should be checked before publication or before assigning every Renee appearance to one actor.
For readers, the character’s importance is clearer than the billing question: Renee is identified as Vince’s former partner and becomes a source of comfort for Sharon as Sharon deals with Vince’s belongings and the first stages of grief.

These names are useful when identifying returning faces, but they should not be presented as season 4 series regulars or as appearing in all 20 episodes without an episode-specific credit or official release confirming that level of involvement. Television cast databases often combine credits from the full run of a show, which is not the same as confirming a performer’s billing for a particular season.

Who left the regular cast in season 4?
Billy Burke as Vince Leone: a major departure
Billy Burke’s Vince Leone does not return as a season 4 regular. Vince dies in the season 3 finale’s facility explosion, and Paramount’s season 4 information confirms that Burke does not return for the new season.
Vince’s absence changes the structure of the Leone family and the emotional balance at Station 42. Sharon must live with the loss, Bode must process another consequence of his family history, and the people who worked with Vince must continue without his presence. Vince therefore belongs in a season 4 departures section, not in the active regular-cast list.
Stephanie Arcila’s Gabriela Perez: reduced regular status
Gabriela Perez is the other major season 4 status change. Stephanie Arcila leaves the regular cast early in the season, although Gabriela remains relevant through her connection to Manny and Bode and continues to appear in season 4-related promotional material.
This distinction matters for readers searching for the “full cast.” A character can remain important to a season’s story without being listed among the season’s official regulars.

Season 4 character guide by episode milestone
The following episodes provide useful navigation points for the main cast and character arcs without replacing a full episode recap.
| Episode | Original air date | Cast and character significance |
|---|---|---|
| “Goodbye for Now” | October 17, 2025 | Season 4 begins in the aftermath of the Zabel Ridge fire and the destruction surrounding the season 3 finale. |
| “Fresh Start” | December 12, 2025 | Three Rock reopens, and Bode reconnects with former classmate Chloe Mackenzie during a high-school drunk-driving drill. |
| “Life of a Firefighter” | March 13, 2026 | Brett Richards returns unexpectedly, creating a leadership challenge for Manny and prompting him to confront his self-doubt. |
| “The Bravest” | April 3, 2026 | Bode and Deputy Nathan Boone take part in a rescue involving nine missing students. |
| “Try Not to Drown” | May 22, 2026 | The season finale brings historic floodwaters across Edgewater and places the community in another large-scale crisis. |
Across those milestones, the season’s major character threads are consistent: Bode works toward professional credibility; Manny faces a challenge to his authority; Sharon navigates grief and family history; Jake confronts a consequential decision; Eve remains tied to Three Rock; Chloe and Landon’s family situation adds context to Bode’s reconnection with his past; and Brett Richards disrupts the existing command structure.

Fans looking for series merchandise can check the official Fire Country merchandise collection at Paramount Shop. The listed collection includes items such as a Bode T-shirt, Three Rock Conservation Camp apparel and sticker, a Smokey’s Tavern mug and pint glass, a logo hoodie, a logo dad hat, and a logo stainless-steel water bottle.
Availability can change, and the products are sold through Paramount Shop rather than being verified here as Amazon listings. If you are specifically searching for a Three Rock sweatshirt, Bode shirt, or Smokey’s Tavern item, confirm the current design, size range, price, and shipping region at the retailer before ordering.
Can you buy Fire Country season 4 on DVD?
A season-one DVD release is available as a physical-media option through retailers, but this research does not verify a season 4 DVD release. Readers who want to own earlier episodes should search for Fire Country Season 1 DVD, not a “season 4 DVD” listing that may be inaccurate or unofficial.
Check the seller, region compatibility, disc condition, and current stock before purchasing. A season-one DVD is an option for owning the beginning of the series; it should not be described as a physical release of season 4.
