South Africa team news and starting XV
Rassie Erasmus selected an unchanged South Africa matchday 23 after the 27–20 first-Test win. The starting XV was notable for its experience: contemporary reporting said it combined 990 international caps, described at the time as a record for a Springboks starting XV. That was pre-match reporting and should not be presented as an enduring record without further qualification.

What happened in South Africa vs Ireland?
Ireland won 25–24 in a one-point finish. Replacement fly-half Ciarán Frawley kicked the decisive late drop goal, giving Ireland only their second Test victory on South African soil and preventing the Springboks from closing out a series win.
The result drew the two-match series 1–1. For archive viewers, that context is important: this was not a routine mid-year international. South Africa had won in Pretoria, Ireland had to win in Durban, and Frawley’s late intervention settled the series.
Can you still watch the match?
Possibly, but availability is no longer the same question as the original broadcast schedule. Start with the archived FloRugby event page in the United States, then check the replay libraries of the original rights holders in your country. An old listing does not establish that a service still has the replay, that the event is included in a current plan, or that the service operates in your territory.
Be particularly careful with VPN claims. A VPN may not provide access to a rights-controlled stream, and using one can conflict with a broadcaster’s terms or local rules. It should never be treated as a guaranteed way to bypass geographic restrictions.
