The theatrical launch included IMAX and other premium large-format presentations. Both the Japanese-language version with English subtitles and an English-dubbed version were announced for North American theaters, although the exact showtimes and language options depended on the individual venue.
Eligible Crunchyroll Mega Fan and Ultimate Fan subscribers were also offered limited early screenings on September 9, 2025. That event was a subscriber benefit rather than the general release date.
What was the March 2026 SCREENX re-release?
Infinity Castle returned to U.S. and Canadian theaters on March 6, 2026. This was a separate theatrical re-release, not a replacement for the original September 2025 opening.
The re-release added selected SCREENX presentations. SCREENX uses multiple projectors to extend parts of the image onto the side walls, creating a stated 270-degree presentation. Availability was limited to participating theaters, and both Japanese-subtitled and English-dubbed screenings were again listed in the release announcement.
Where can you watch Infinity Castle at home?
The first film became available on Crunchyroll on July 28, 2026, at 8:00 a.m. PT. The official availability announcement covered worldwide territories except Japan and Mainland China and listed English subtitles, an English dub, and additional subtitle and dub languages.
If you want to buy the film digitally rather than use a streaming subscription, the same announcement named the Apple TV app, Prime Video, Google Play, YouTube, and Fandango for select territories, including North America. Pre-orders began July 4 on selected platforms.

Infinity Castle is the first entry in a planned three-part cinematic trilogy adapting the final arc of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Knowing that the story is being presented as a trilogy is not the same as having a confirmed date for Part 2. Treat social posts, fan countdowns, and unverified reports as speculation unless Aniplex, ufotable, the official Demon Slayer channels, Crunchyroll, or the relevant distributor confirms the information.
What is the film about?
The film begins the adaptation of Demon Slayer’s final story arc inside the Infinity Castle. It is not a standalone remake or a side story: it is the first movie in the trilogy intended to bring the anime’s central story to its conclusion.
The production is associated with Koyoharu Gotouge, Shueisha, Aniplex, and ufotable. In North America, Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment handled the theatrical distribution announcement.
Because the film adapts late-series material, viewers who want the full source story can use the manga as a catch-up route. The Demon Slayer complete manga box set contains all 23 volumes, but it is the source manga collection—not a physical edition of the film.
Want to read ahead or revisit the source material?
VIZ lists a complete 23-volume Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba box set, with premium extras including a booklet and poster. The late-series volumes cover the material leading into and through the final arc that the Infinity Castle trilogy adapts.
Readers should distinguish between two products: the manga box set is the original print source, while Infinity Castle is its animated film adaptation. Availability, price, and sellers for physical collections can change, so confirm the current edition and contents before ordering.
Release-date mistakes to avoid
- Do not call the film an upcoming 2025 release. Its North American opening was September 12, 2025.
- Do not merge the two theatrical events. March 6, 2026 was the later U.S. and Canadian SCREENX re-release.
- Do not call July 28, 2026 a future streaming date. It is the reported home-viewing launch date in the current research timeline.
- Do not present every international market as having the same release date. The official international schedule varied by territory.
- Do not describe the June 28, 2025 trailer as a confirmed Part 2 announcement. It is the dated main-trailer event for the first film.
- Do not report a North American Blu-ray, DVD, or 4K date without a later official announcement.
