Rose serves as the law clerk, Kumar is credited as the court reporter or court stenographer, and Rasco is the bailiff. Behind the camera, Sheindlin leads the series as creator and executive producer, with Randy Douthit, Scott Koondel, and Amy Freisleben among the principal producers.
The Amazon streaming series is an arbitration-based courtroom program with its own title, format, credits, and personnel. It is related to Judge Judy, but it is not a renamed season or continuation under the old program’s title.
The main Judy Justice cast
Viewers who want to know who appears with Judge Judy in Judy Justice will usually be looking for three people: Sarah Rose, Whitney Kumar, and Kevin Rasco. Together, they form the show’s regular courtroom group beyond Sheindlin.
Sarah Rose — law clerk
Sarah Rose is the show’s law clerk and its principal legal-analysis presence. Program descriptions also identify her as Sheindlin’s granddaughter and a law-school graduate. The most precise description of her on-screen job, however, is “law clerk.” She should not be described as the judge, and her role on the program should not be confused with that of a practicing attorney representing the litigants.

Rose’s position is one of the clearest format differences between Judy Justice and the original Judge Judy. The newer series gives the law clerk a visible place in the courtroom group rather than presenting Sheindlin with only the traditional bailiff-and-courtroom framework.
Whitney Kumar — court reporter or stenographer
Whitney Kumar is credited as the show’s court reporter or court stenographer, depending on the credit source. Those terms are both used in the program’s records, so “court reporter” is a safe general description.
Kumar is part of the recurring courtroom ensemble, but the role should not be overstated as evidence that Judy Justice is an ordinary public courtroom. The series presents an arbitration-based television format, not a conventional judicial proceeding conducted by a government court.
Kevin Rasco — bailiff
Kevin Rasco is the regular bailiff on Judy Justice. He occupies the courtroom role most closely associated with the bailiff position on Judge Judy, while being a different on-screen team member from Petri Hawkins Byrd, Sheindlin’s longtime bailiff on the earlier series.

Judge Judy Sheindlin’s role
Judy Sheindlin is the show’s judge, principal on-screen host, creator, and executive producer. As with other televised arbitration programs, the cases are presented for entertainment within the program’s arbitration structure; the show should not be described as a normal court system or as evidence that Sheindlin is presiding over a public judicial docket.
Judy Justice premiered on November 1, 2021, under the IMDb TV branding used by Amazon at the time. It later became associated with Amazon Freevee and Prime Video distribution. Current listings identify four seasons, including season-four entries dated 2026. Streaming availability and catalog placement can change by country and over time, so viewers should check the current Amazon listing in their territory.
Principal producers and directors
The central behind-the-scenes leadership includes the following people:

- Amy Freisleben — co-executive producer/producer.

The production hierarchy in the Daytime Emmy credits
The 2023 Daytime Emmy nomination-credit document provides a particularly useful snapshot of the production structure. It lists Randy Douthit and Scott Koondel as executive producers and Amy Freisleben as co-executive producer.
The same organized credit record identifies:
- Victoria Jenest — supervising producer
- Cybil Jordan-Malachi — co-supervising producer
- Marisa Van Den Borre and Matt Pomfret — senior producers
- Jeff Kueppers — coordinating producer
- Jave Galt-Miller, Luci Kwak, Melanie Manooki, and Alan Stein — segment producers
- Yusufu Henry — line producer
This hierarchy helps explain why a television credit page may list many producers without implying that they all perform the same job. Executive producers oversee the larger production and business structure, while segment, coordinating, line, and supervising producers handle different levels of organization and execution.

Other credited on-screen contributors
Al Murdoch is credited as the announcer, with credits concentrated in the earlier seasons.
Cassandra Britt appears as a bailiff in a limited set of 2024 episodes, while Alexei Mentzer is credited as a law clerk in a limited set of 2024 episodes. Those credits are important when examining individual episodes, but they do not replace the core recurring courtroom group of Rose, Kumar, Rasco, and Sheindlin in the available current listings.
Litigants, witnesses, and audience members are also credited from episode to episode. They are case participants or audience contributors, not standing members of the series’ regular cast.

No—not in the principal Judy Justice cast identified by current credit records. Petri Hawkins Byrd was the longtime bailiff on Judge Judy, which makes it understandable that viewers may expect him to appear in Sheindlin’s newer program. Judy Justice, however, uses Kevin Rasco as its regular bailiff.

Further reading: Judy Sheindlin beyond the television credits
Readers interested in Judge Judy’s views and television legacy may also want to explore Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining, a book by Judy Sheindlin. It is a Judge Judy-era book rather than an official Judy Justice production guide or direct tie-in, so it belongs in a broader Judge Judy legacy section—not in the cast list itself.
