KPop Demon Hunters separates many of its speaking and singing performances. Here is the accurate cast guide: who voices each character, who performs the key vocals, and where the official credits leave room for uncertainty.
KPop Demon Hunters uses a split-cast approach: several characters have one performer for English dialogue and another for singing. That distinction matters most for HUNTR/X, whose voices in the film and on the soundtrack are not always the same people.

What KPop Demon Hunters is about
The 2025 animated musical follows HUNTR/X—Rumi, Mira, and Zoey—who are globally successful K-pop idols and secret demon hunters. Their new competition, the Saja Boys, is a boy band of demons in disguise. Their battles are staged through songs, performances, fandom, and supernatural combat rather than as separate parts of the story.
Netflix made the film with Sony Pictures Animation, and Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans directed it.

#1 Best Overall
- KPop Demon Hunters, a Netflix film from Sony Pictures Animation, follows K-pop superstars Rumi, Mira and Zoey
HUNTR/X: the leads and their two sets of voices
Rumi — Arden Cho and EJAE
Rumi is HUNTR/X’s determined leader: ambitious, disciplined, and intent on holding the trio together. She also carries a secret she is afraid her closest friends will discover. Arden Cho voices Rumi’s dialogue, while singer-songwriter EJAE performs Rumi’s singing vocals.
That is why it is most accurate to credit the role as: “Arden Cho voices Rumi, with EJAE providing her singing voice.”
Mira — May Hong and Audrey Nuna
Mira is HUNTR/X’s rebellious, skeptical member. Her sharp edge gives way to deep loyalty once she trusts someone, and she is as capable onstage as she is in a demon fight. May Hong performs Mira’s speaking role; Audrey Nuna is Mira’s singing voice.
Zoey — Ji-young Yoo and REI AMI
Zoey is the trio’s rapper and youngest member, or maknae. A Korean American raised in Burbank, she is eager to please but fiercely protective of Rumi and Mira. Ji-young Yoo voices Zoey’s dialogue, while REI AMI performs her singing vocals.

The Saja Boys
Jinu — Ahn Hyo-seop
Jinu is the Saja Boys’ lead singer and Rumi’s central rival. His backstory establishes that he was once human and traded his soul to Gwi-Ma for fame and musical talent. Ahn Hyo-seop supplies Jinu’s English speaking performance.
The soundtrack credits the Saja Boys’ vocal roster—Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, and samUIL Lee—on “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol.” Those ensemble credits should not be converted into an unsupported claim that one named vocalist is definitively Jinu’s singing voice.
Abby Saja — SungWon Cho and Neckwav
Abby is the Saja Boys’ dancer and self-consciously glamorous “chief dreamboat,” with the film’s character material leaning into his exaggerated muscular image. SungWon Cho voices Abby’s dialogue, and Neckwav performs his singing voice.
Romance Saja — Joel Kim Booster
Joel Kim Booster voices Romance Saja. His credits are broader than that one character: he also plays Variety Show Host 2 and Idol Host.

Mystery Saja and Baby Saja
Kevin Woo is credited as the vocalist behind Mystery Saja. Official material also identifies the full Saja Boys vocal ensemble, but does not provide a complete, one-to-one English dialogue-and-singing table for every remaining member. A careful cast guide should leave those unsourced pairings open rather than guess.
Allies, mentors, and the main threat
Gwi-Ma — Byung Hun Lee
Gwi-Ma is the film’s principal demon antagonist, a manipulator who exploits weakness and uses Jinu as his path toward the human world.
Celine — Yunjin Kim
Celine is a former K-pop star and demon hunter who trained HUNTR/X. She adopted Rumi after Rumi’s mother died. Netflix’s cast header uses “Celine,” while descriptive material has also used “Celene”; “Celine” is the clearest consistent form for a cast listing.
Bobby — Ken Jeong
Bobby is HUNTR/X’s energetic, hard-working manager. He does not know that his clients hunt demons, but he is vital to the public-facing idol career that enables their mission.

Healer and Host
Daniel Dae Kim voices the Healer, a perceptive ally. Liza Koshy plays an on-air Host.
Why the soundtrack credits are essential
The original music is narrative action in KPop Demon Hunters, not background decoration. EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI are credited on HUNTR/X songs including “How It’s Done,” “Golden,” “Takedown,” and “What It Sounds Like.” Andrew Choi, Neckwav, Danny Chung, Kevin Woo, and samUIL Lee are credited on the Saja Boys tracks “Soda Pop” and “Your Idol.”
For the three HUNTR/X members, the clean credit is simple: Arden Cho/EJAE for Rumi, May Hong/Audrey Nuna for Mira, and Ji-young Yoo/REI AMI for Zoey. Separating acting and recording credits gives both groups of performers their due.

The Honmoon is a supernatural protective barrier. HUNTR/X wants to turn it gold and lock demons out of the human world. The Saja Boys try to take the trio’s fans, weakening that barrier and allowing Gwi-Ma’s forces through. In practical terms, the film makes idol popularity part of the supernatural stakes: every performance can protect the world or endanger it.
