Sony confirms physical editions in 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD. A current retailer snapshot showed listings at approximately $13.99 for DVD, $18.50 for Blu-ray, and $28.93 for one 4K UHD listing. Those figures can move with sales and inventory, so compare the final price before ordering.
Sony says 4K HDR playback requires a 4K UHD television with HDR, a 4K UHD Blu-ray player, and high-speed HDMI 2.0a cables. Buying a 4K disc will not by itself produce a 4K HDR picture if the rest of the playback chain is not compatible.
Sony’s home-release promotion advertises more than 30 minutes of bonus material, including outtakes and bloopers, deleted scenes, and an all-new post-credit scene. It also promotes features about Will Smith and Martin Lawrence’s chemistry, the Bruckheimer legacy, the film’s action choreography, and the partnership between the two leads.
These should be treated as home-release extras, not as guaranteed features of every streaming version. Hulu may provide the movie without the physical or digital bonus menu.
