The Antanimora Prison installment of Behind Bars: The World’s Toughest Prisons looks at life inside the prison in Antananarivo, Madagascar, including overcrowding, poor sanitation, disease, inadequate food, and families’ role in supplying essentials. Those conditions are presented in the documentary’s account; independent reports also describe severe overcrowding, but the available figures are historical and do not establish the prison’s current population or conditions.
Catalogs use the name Antanimora Prison, also known as Maison Centrale d’Antanimora. Episode numbers and runtimes conflict across listings, so the prison name is the clearest way to identify the installment.

These are descriptions of the documentary’s account, not a current independent inspection. Apple TV, Tubi, and Off The Fence list the installment, though their episode numbering and runtimes are inconsistent.
