Racism is the belief that groups of humans possess different behavioral traits corresponding to physical appearance and can be divided based on the superiority of one race over another.
In other terms, racism is the marginalization and/or oppression of people of color based on a socially constructed hierarchy that privileges white people. When you think of racism, you usually think of racism in America.
But other countries face the same issues and challenges. Germany in the last few years has had a couple of cases of racism. The country’s black population rises due to people moving to Germany from other parts of the world. And of course, migration.
In Germany, young African-Americans encounter discrimination based on their skin color. This documentary tells the story of a few young people in Germany and their encounters with racism.
