Landing on Mars in Search of Life

There have been a number of Mars landings so far. Starting from the first Mars landing, which was actually Mars 3 that made it (1971), through Viking 1 and 2, and up to Curiosity. Here are all Mars landings: Phoenix (2008), Viking 1 and 2 (1976), Opportunity (2004), Curiosity (2012), Beagle 2 (2003), Spirit (2004), Mars 3 (1971).

A human mission to Mars has been the subject of scientific proposals and engineering since the 19th century. And as the years went on, society is getting closer to making it to Mars. The plan, is to eventually settle on, and then terraforming the planet. Of course, all this while utilizing the moons of Mars, Deimos and Phobos.

At the moment, NASA has a project, the long-term program Orion that is scheduled to place humans on Mars by 2035. Is that really possible? And what it takes for humans to land on Mars?

The documentary explores everything Mars related, including preparations, scientific projections, and much more.

We’ve seen Mars landing in fiction, mainly in movies and graphic novels such as Total Recall, Mission to Mars, Red Planet, Doctor Who, the Martian and much more. But will we see it in real life? We will find out!
