Algeria’s wedding customs are similar to those practicing Muslim religion. The dominant religion in Algeria is Islam, and according to the Qur’an, marriage must be based upon love.

That is just one of the many traditions regarding wedding and marriage. Another one is that Algerian men and women are free to marry whomever they wish, as long as the marriage partner is approved by the family.

This documentary explores all of the wedding traditions in the country by looking into three different weddings. Take a look.
