Who Rules America: The Rise of The Military-Industrial Complex | Corporations

What really defines democracy in America? Is it free and fair elections, where people can choose their leaders within the framework of a constitution that guarantees their unalienable rights? Or is it under the sway of a privileged few who control the media, Wall Street, the military, and corporations, a ‘hidden network of power’ that is accountable to no one? This thought-provoking documentary, Episode 3 of “Who Rules America?”, transcends such fundamental questions.

In this comprehensive exposé, Danny Schechter, the creator of “In Debt We Trust” and “WMD: Weapons of Mass Deception,” peels back the layers of America’s governing system to reveal the true decision-makers behind the world’s self-proclaimed democratic role model. Through exclusive footage and insightful interviews, the documentary highlights the rise of the military-industrial complex and the corporate takeover of America, leading to the concentration of power in the hands of a few, while the majority of people remain submerged in a world of political, economic, and social inequality.
