The Lost Caves of Giza

In 2008, a team of British explorers made an incredible discovery – a lost network of caves hidden beneath the Giza Pyramid complex. Led by Andrew Collins, Sue Collins, and Nigel Skinner-Simpson, with the help of engineer Rodney Hale, the team were able to uncover these long-forgotten caves through precise calculations based on stellar alignments and a forgotten archaeological diary written by British diplomat Henry Salt in 1817.

Upon this discovery being officially reported to renowned Egyptian archaeologist Dr. Zahi Hawass, he initially denied the cave’s existence but eventually took a film crew inside for a reality TV show. The resulting documentary featured interviews from everyone involved in the expedition alongside reenactments of Henry Salt’s journey before ultimately unveiling stunning footage and photos of what they had uncovered underneath the Giza Pyramids.
