Super Mario is an iconic character, and an iconic video game. The game started as Mario Bros, and was first released in 1983. In 1985, Super Mario Bros was the logical successor to the 1983 game, and was released in America and Europe in 1985 and 1987.

From that point on, the game entered almost every home in the world. Before that, the game was limited to Asian users, but it didn’t reach an iconic status until it arrived in Europe and North America.

There have been many instalments of the game, and this documentary follows the development of Super Mario from the 8bit arcade game, to the modern Mario we have today.
