A group of accomplished international thieves tunnel under the streets of Nice, France to steal $10 million in cash and jewels from an allegedly impregnable vault.
Albert Spaggiari, born in 1938, nicknamed Bert, was a French criminal who confessed he was the organizer of the break-in into a Societe Generale bank in Nice, France.
The crime happened in July 1976. Yet, in 2010, Jacques Cassandri published a book titled “The Truth about the Nice Heist”, in which he claimed responsibility for the robbery.
Jacques said that Albert only played a big part. Cassandri could not be prosecuted for the crime under French Law as it was too long ago.
