Do you know that your perfume might contain ingredients that cost more than gold? Yes, that is right, agarwood, or also known as oud, is one of the most exclusive ingredients in perfumes.
It serves as the basis in many premium perfumes. Derived from the resinous bark of a tree that grows only in parts of South East Asia, agarwood is one of the most expensive commodities in the world.
Pound for pound, agarwood costs more than gold. The fragrance agarwood releases has long had a cultural significance in the Gulf and the Middle East.
