The upcoming documentary dives into the secrets of the luxurious world of super yachts, exploring the glamorous lifestyle of the rich and famous. As the world becomes increasingly aware of the consequences of climate change, doubts linger about the sustainability of such extravagance. Nevertheless, innovation is constant, and key players are working hard to redefine their industry.
The film features interior designer Sabrina Monteeone-Oeino, taking us through her latest masterpiece, alongside Francis Lapp, who has developed a solar-powered yacht. Burning almost 500 liters of diesel per hour, the industry is in need of a makeover, and with a value of up to 600 million Euros per vessel, the stakes could not be higher. Whether a hallmark of luxury or an image of selfish waste, the world of superyachts is here to stay – but will it adapt fast enough to meet the demands of the changing world?
