Lions are often considered the King of the Jungle. But that title is little misleading, since lions do not actually live in jungles. Their habitat are usually savannahs, rocky hills, grasslands, scrubland, but not jungles.
Why are they considered the king of the jungle? Mainly because of their ability to dominate their habitat.
Lions are apex predators and they sit at the top of their habitats food chain. While hyenas and wild dogs can sometimes eat lion cubs, no animal hunts mature lions.
And in that hierarchy, the male lion is the king of beats. But this documentary shows a lioness dethroning the King. Watch the documentary and the true story of a wild and courageous lioness named Maiba.
