Holy Land: Startup Nations

For many years, the first association to Israel is Holy Land. Millions of people visit Israel and the Wailing Wall. But in the past several years, the country made the jump from the center of the religion, to the center of technology.

Israel will continue being the Holy Land of religion. But it is now also much more advanced. The startup ecosystem of Israel is among the best in the world. Nowadays, Israel is The Startup Nation.

The startup ecosystem is a result of a collaboration between the state, venture capital firms, successful entrepreneurs, educational system, business system, incubators, and accelerators.

Universities play a huge role. As of 2018, the country has more than 7,000 active high-tech companies and startups. This documentary takes a look at how Israel grew to be The Startup Nation.
