The London Underground is one of the oldest and busiest subway networks in the world, with more than a billion people using it each year. But most of them may not know that this iconic system of transportation is also home to some of the spookiest stories and supernatural secrets.
“Ghosts of the Underground” is a gripping documentary that takes audiences on a chilling journey through the dark tunnels and eerie station platforms beneath London’s streets. The film examines not only the supernatural tales and unexplained encounters, but also looks at its impressive architecture and engineering feats.
From stories told by drivers and station personnel about phantom passengers in empty trains, to sighting specters on disused platforms or security tapes at closed stations late at night, this gripping account reveals a side of London many commuters never see. It also details accounts by those brave enough to traverse miles of pitch-black tunnels when they “trackwalk” alone each night – often coming back with bone-chilling photographs that defy explanation.
