Environmentalists in danger

In a world where environmental activists, indigenous people, and journalists risk their lives to protect the planet, “Environmental Warriors” travels to remote corners to witness their dangerous work. From Nigeria’s oil-inflicted communities to Peruvian jungles and Romania’s forests, the documentary exposes the global environmental crimes perpetrated by corporate interests and their associates.

Battling oil mafias, illegal loggers, and international profiteers of cocoa, coffee, and palm oil, the film showcases how communities and nature are ruthlessly destroyed. It also depicts from a different perspective the critical roles of those on the front lines of the fight, including those that were killed and disappeared. A poignant reminder of the cost of defending the planet and a wakeup call to ensure these vital voices continue to be heard.
