The Bubble Gum King is one of the best documentaries ever made. The documentary follows the life story of Andy Paris. He rose to stardom by starting a bubblegum business. He started his business after World War II, buying enormous amount of latex supply.

He used that latex supply to start producing bubblegum, which at the time, looked like an insane idea. But he became one of the most successful entrepreneurs, becoming “The Bubble Gum King”. Life Magazine gave him that nickname in 1947, as he became an international successful story overnight.

However, his candy empire fell down ever quicker, as he fell under the scrutiny of the American government. He was among the first American entrepreneurs. Paris traveled to Hollywood, and was featured on almost any popular radio show back in the days. This is his story, as the documentary about him is one of the Best Indie documentaries.
