American Juggalo is a documentary that delves into the much-maligned and misunderstood subculture of Juggalos, die-hard fans of Insane Clown Posse. Every year these devoted followers come together for four days at The Gathering of the Juggalos.
The directors behind American Juggalo traveled to The Gathering to give these dedicated fans an opportunity to share their stories, experiences, and perspectives. The Gathering of the Juggalos is an event organized by Psychopathic Records that has become an annual celebration for its faithful attendees. Joseph Bruce (aka Violent J), one half of the Insane Clown Posse, describes it as “Juggalo Woodstock” and features numerous renowned musical acts, underground artists, games, contests, autograph sessions, karaoke, wrestling matches, and seminars.

For those not familiar with this particular corner of American culture but who are still curious about it after hearing about this documentary or interested in exploring what makes it so unique and appealing to its dedicated followers will find American Juggalo to be a fascinating exploration into a rarely seen world. It offers an up close look at how Juggalos live life on their own terms and why participating in such events like The Gathering can often be life changing experiences for many involved. So if you’ve ever been curious about what makes this particular subculture tick then American Juggalo is definitely worth watching!
