Follow the incredible journey of two elite athletes in their quest to compete at the Paralympics in Tokyo – wheelchair racer Alhassane Baldé and blind judoka Shugaa Nashwan. This documentary takes the viewer on a rollercoaster ride of emotion, triumph, and perseverance.
Although they are top athletes, even a single flight of stairs can be a challenge. Alhassane, who grew up in Germany after being nearly lost at birth in his native Guinea, aims for his fourth Paralympic Games. Meanwhile, for Shugaa, Tokyo would be his first Paralympic experience. As if a blind judoka’s journey wasn’t already challenging enough, he faces an additional obstacle by traveling to war-torn Yemen, where he witness first-hand the humanitarian crisis in his war-torn homeland.
