Every year, millions of tons of plastic waste end up in the water, creating a massive pollution problem that affects both wildlife and humans. While many organizations have attempted to tackle this issue, one group stands out from the rest – famous brands such as Adidas, Coca-Cola, and Ocean Cleanup are taking part in a global effort to clean up our oceans.
But what is this effort? By joining forces and using their resources, these brands are doing incredible work to reduce the amount of waste that ends up in our seas and making sure it doesn’t get there again. This includes recycling initiatives, beach cleanups and more. In addition to this physical work on the ground, the companies are also raising awareness about the critical issue at hand through various campaigns.
While all of this work is critical for saving our oceans, it can be difficult to see how exactly it is making a difference. To learn more about this mission — and why it matters — viewers should watch Sky Ocean Rescue’s documentary ‘The Big Plastic Takeover’. This powerful film follows three individuals who have devoted their lives to fighting plastic pollution: an artist who turns plastic bottles into beautiful works of art; a scientist exploring ocean microplastics; and a beach cleaner determined to keep his local patch clean.
This important documentary sheds light on some of the biggest environmental challenges we face today while highlighting solutions we can adopt right away — all while being given an inside look at how companies like Adidas, Coca-Cola and Ocean Cleanup are helping make a change.

We owe it to ourselves and future generations to start reducing our plastic consumption as soon as possible —and ‘The Big Plastic Takeover’ is an excellent place to start learning about how we can do just that before it’s too late!
