On October 3rd, 1993, 120 highly-trained Delta Force Commandos and Army Rangers were tasked with a daring mission – to launch a fast daylight raid deep into the heart of Mogadishu, Somalia. Their target was none other than notorious terrorist leader Mohammed Farrah Aidid. Responsible for the death of numerous United Nations workers delivering food to the starving Somalis, Aidid sought to exert control over the country by controlling its food supply.

The raid proved to be an incredibly difficult undertaking as Aidid had been able to build up a devoted militia throughout Somalia in order to protect himself and his cause. However, despite immense challenges, the brave soldiers managed to capture their target and bring him back safely.
