Ten years ago, the United States and its allies launched an invasion of Afghanistan in response to the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Since then, thousands of lives have been lost in one of the longest-running wars in American history. To mark this important milestone, a special documentary series has been released telling the story of that conflict through the eyes of those at the forefront –the young soldiers themselves.
The documentary series features interviews from brave men and women who dedicated their lives to this fight. Through these powerful testimonies, viewers are given a unique perspective on what life was like for those serving in Afghanistan during this tumultuous decade. From harrowing tales of survival on the frontlines to heartbreaking stories about loved ones back home, these soldiers share their experiences with courage and candor.

The documentary also provides an essential historical context for understanding why America entered this war, how it evolved over time, and how it ultimately ended. Through archival footage and expert analysis from leading historians and journalists, viewers will gain a fuller understanding of this complex conflict –from its cause to its conclusion–and understand how it shaped our world today.
It is an important piece of work that serves as both a tribute to our servicemen and women as well as a reminder that we should never forget the cost of war. Therefore we encourage all readers to watch this eye-opening exploration into our recent history and discover why millions were willing to make such great sacrifices for the cause of freedom.
