Vietnam’s “Reunification Express” links Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on a 1,700‑kilometer, 32‑hour journey. Built after the war to heal divisions, the train passes cultural and historic landmarks: Trang An’s rare langurs, the Ben Hai River at the former North‑South border, imperial Hue with its Royal Ballet, and the Ocean Cloud Pass along the South China Sea. A stop in Da Lat’s mountains precedes arrival in Ho Chi Minh City — the railway itself a lasting symbol of reconciliation.
