2. You can rent boats here!

Just look for that iconic wooden hut seen in many photos of the lake where boat rental services are available from mid-May to October end. According to this travel guide, the cost is €19 for 30 minutes and €29 for 1 hour – perfect if you want to explore further out into the lake.

3. Accommodation options abound here!

The Valle di Braies (Pragser Tal) offers great accommodation opportunities close by; from there it’s only a short walk to not just Lago di Braies but also iconic Tre Cime peaks, Cadini massifs and Pratto Piazza plateaus too! 5. Swimming isn’t allowed here though…

As much as dauntingly beautiful Lago di Braies may look like it would make for an excellent dip spot during hot summer days – alas no – swimming isn’t allowed according to South Tyrol Tourist Board regulations so sadly you will need to resort to other cooling methods such as drinking plenty of water or even practicing “hardening” with Wim Hof method.

6 . It’s also perfect for hikes!

Lago di Braies forms part of Alta Via n°1 delle Dolomites — a 150 km long route across Dolomites finishing in Belluno Veneto — but if you don’t have enough time then perhaps do shorter hikes instead; like one around 3 km circuit around Lake itself which will take about 1½ hours depending on how often you stop to take pictures or simply admire breathtaking surrounding scenery; starting from western shore path which is ideal even for strollers but more experienced hikers could opt instead east shore path which is quite challenging yet offering stunning views as reward; either way don’t forget go clockwise otherwise paths might cross each other!.
