Anitta shared a preview of “I’d Rather Have Sex” on April 11, 2022, one day before her album Versions of Me was scheduled to arrive on audio platforms. A contemporaneous report described a social-media video of the singer dancing in a car to what appeared to be the song’s chorus.
What song did Anitta preview?
The preview was of “I’d Rather Have Sex,” a track on Versions of Me. Popline reported on April 11, 2022, that Anitta posted the snippet and danced in a car as the song played; the report identified the section as what seemed to be the chorus. Popline’s April 11 report is the contemporaneous account of the teaser.

When was the album due?
Popline said Versions of Me was due on audio platforms the following day, April 12, 2022. That date is the album’s scheduled arrival as reported at the time, not a current release announcement.
What does “I’d Rather Have Sex” sound like?
The teaser report focused on the brief car video and did not provide lyrics or production credits. In a later review of Anitta’s Funk Generation, the Associated Press described “I’d Rather Have Sex” as featuring “bed-squeaks.” That is reviewer Maria Sherman’s critical description of a sound in the track, not an official production credit or a definitive genre label.
