This guide covers the three original-trilogy leads supported by the available biographical sources: Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo) and Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa). These are the actors’ ages and publicly reported relationships—not the characters’ ages or on-screen romances. Ages are calculated as of October 8, 2026; relationship information is attributed to the cited biographies and may not reflect later changes.
Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker)
Born September 25, 1951, Mark Hamill was 75 on October 8, 2026. Biography.com lists Marilou York as his spouse and reports that they have been married since 1978. That profile was last updated in 2019, so it establishes what the biography reported at that time, not a freshly verified status. Biography.com’s Mark Hamill biography.

Harrison Ford (Han Solo)
Born July 13, 1942, Harrison Ford was 84 on October 8, 2026. Biography.com reports that Ford married Calista Flockhart in 2010. The profile was last updated in 2021; it is a dated report rather than confirmation of their status in 2026. Biography.com’s Harrison Ford biography.
Carrie Fisher (Leia Organa)
Carrie Fisher was born October 21, 1956, and died December 27, 2016, aged 60. She has no current age or relationship status to report. The available dates come from a secondary encyclopedia result, so they should be understood as secondary-source biographical information rather than an official record.

- The Skywalker saga’s center trilogy introduces Luke Skywalker, who is drawn into the rebellion against the evil Galactic Empire when he is recruited by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Strong in the Force, Luke is confronted with a shocking truth — while Sith Lord Darth Vader faces a supreme decision.
What “main characters” means here
“Main characters” can refer to different casts across the films and series. This article limits the list to Luke, Han and Leia, the original-trilogy leads for whom the available material supports the age and relationship details above. The Academy’s 2020 awards reminder list also names Hamill, Fisher and several sequel-trilogy performers—including Adam Driver, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac and Daisy Ridley—as cast members of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker; that confirms participation in that film, but does not by itself establish a complete definition of the franchise’s main cast. How to read the ages and relationship details
- Ages are date-specific. Each living actor’s age is calculated from the full birth date and the stated October 8, 2026 reference date.
- Relationship details are attributed reports. The cited Hamill and Ford biographies were last updated in 2019 and 2021, respectively; neither date warrants treating the reported status as independently confirmed for 2026.
- Fisher’s age is age at death. A present-day age would be misleading.
