The reporting we could check does not identify a gold-netting dress worn by Rita Ora. The claim in the headline, that her “naked dress” is essentially gold netting, cannot be confirmed by name, designer, event, or date. What follows separates the documented sheer looks from the one the headline describes, and explains how to pin down the garment yourself.
What the coverage establishes
Rita Ora has worn several sheer and see-through outfits in recent years, and fashion outlets have covered them separately. None of the reports we found describes a gold-netting garment. Because her sheer looks are easy to blur together in photos and headlines, the details of one appearance should not be attached to another.
The sheer looks in the record

- “Naked” is a loose descriptor. Writers use it for sheer, nude-toned, or barely-there garments, so it does not point to one construction.
- Netting can be gold, nude, or black. Under flash photography and stage lighting, metallic or nude mesh can read as gold, and a sheer black piece can read as nude on some skin tones. Color alone is not a reliable identifier.
- Looks are often reported in roundups. A single photo caption may credit a designer for one piece while the surrounding article covers several outfits.
How to identify the dress yourself
If you saw the headline’s photos and want to confirm the garment, work through these checks in order:
- Find the original article and its photo credits. Open the story that carried the headline and note the event, the date, and the photographer or agency credit shown under the image.
- Search the agency archive. Photo agencies such as Getty Images and WireImage list captions with the event name, the date, and often the designer, which is more reliable than a headline.
- Check the event date against Ora’s posts. Her own social posts from the same day often tag the designer or stylist. Treat an unlabeled post as unconfirmed.
- Run a reverse image search. Google Lens or TinEye can surface earlier appearances of the same photo, including the original caption.
- Look for the runway show. If a designer is credited, check that label’s collection for the season in question. A matching look on the runway supports the attribution; a similar look does not.
Until a caption, a designer statement, or a stylist credit names the garment, the most accurate description is that Ora wore a sheer or mesh look whose details the reporting does not establish.

What this means for readers
There is no verified gold-netting dress to describe, so we cannot recommend a comparable product or say where a similar piece could be bought. If the headline came from a specific photo, the agency caption and original article are the places where the garment would be named. Until one of those sources identifies it, treat the gold-netting detail as unconfirmed.
